Optimal Keybinds V2

these are the keybinds i use when playing, personally this feels like the best setup everything is very accessible and easy to remember all binds with the word CLEAR in them i found to be redundant binds that i felt were more confusing then actually helpful. if you use them all the power too you but i feel like they aren’t really needed.

Funny seeing the difference in binds that I set up, might put mine in just to see how it lines up.

yea lol i accidentally hit submit before i had everything updated from the first version of my keybinds was still a few conflicting things but im pretty sure i got it all sorted out now

nope i again forgot 2 binds lol firing mode and nade launcher are suppose to be double tap lol so they don’t conflict with medkit also a bonus to having the firing mode as double tap is that you can change your firing mode while driving in light vehicles, vehicle repair on release lmb is also a great one since you just have to tap lmb and it starts auto repairing as long as your generally looking at your vehicle

… lol also forgot to change the map bind from M to G since the G key is a whole lot easier to reach then M

I have Prety much everything as default.

Since most key binds are Prety much what I used in all previous fps.

Even stock mouse sence was on point.+ razer mouse at 3000 dpi.

When you want to be so meta that you spend 2 hours trying different keybinds. The second time.
But respect for your strong will.

Was bored since I got done work early and decided to organize my controls since I think this will help many newer players who honestly are at a disadvantage when they don’t go thru and update their controls

My focus is making important controls more available for players to make you more competitive instead of having to reach farther (and thus slower).

Note: Since I use a classic Razer Deathadder v2 model, some controls may be tied to the mouse buttons, in which case you may have to change it yourself if you don’t use this model or one similar.

Changes from OP’s controls will be indicated by a strikethrough and should have a small explanation unless I just don’t use that removed control. Also, this is mainly for infantry controls

lol just realized my makeshift vehicle brake key conflicts with vehicle zoom but that just gave me a thought about how the horn is used only on the cars and stuff but not the tanks soo i just put zoom on shift as well and it works great

also i noticed pretty quickly how lmb on building interactions conflicts with shooting at barricades so i switched it to X since that actually works pretty well due to the fact that being around a built object already cancels your squad order for a radius around it

and from your weapon setup it seems like your keybind style is more MMORPG like, where as iv adapted a CSGO style setup to my keybinds my binds are based around the qwerty, asdfg, zxcv keys its designed so i never have to reposition my left hand to select anything, the only key thats slightly out of reach is the Y key and thats cause its the scores screen and you don’t wanna be accidently bumping that mid game

also for marking i have that double mapped so i also mark when i aim down sights and then shoot. its a little bit of a pain in the ass to map two keys to a bind but if you keep smacking LMB + RMB at the same time when trying to bind keybind 2 you’ll eventually get a double mapped keybind

honestly i changed a lot of the binds from what you originally copied lol

nah bro THIS is OPTIMAL soldier control set up

jesus your fingers must hate you those controls are all over the place, why have seperate keys for firing mode and toggle grenade launcher lol you’ll rarely ever use both style of weapons on a single soldier and even if you are using both a launcher rifle and a weapon with firing modes your not using both weapons at the same time lol

and the reason i use shift for both breathing and mount weapon is because they are similar controls a weapon ability, so it makes sense to have 1 on single press and 1 on double tap and since mount weapon is used less thats the one that goes on double tap

Lol yeah its not exactly an orthodox set up. the weirdest are probably MMB jump, LMB ads and space to fire X)

fire selector is kinda useless imo. I’ve never found a weapon that I needed to use it on. I have mount and breath on different buttons because if you are mounting your weapon you arent in immediate combat but I use breath every time I fire. I dont want double tap accidentally activating it. I had that same problem when i tried to bind melee to LMB/RMB double click.

wellp why i have mount weapon on shift double tap is cause it makes it accessible in combat if needed but your not gonna accidentally activate it cause who’s constantly pounding the hold breath button? like even as a sniper you end up just holding it i use to use hold breath basically every time i aimed, so i just mapped the 2nd keybind for hold breath to RMB double tap, much better bind, you want to normal aim just click RMB normally you want to aim and hold breath double tap RMB

the only way you’ll accidentally activate mount weapon is if your laying down and if that happens just move backwards an inch and it unmounts you, simple.

the reason i call mine “Optimal” is because i reworked and reworked and reworked my binds so i could use the least amount of keys possible without things conflicting with eachother so iv got things double triple and even quadruple mapped to single keys

I find the controls totally useless. I try to use my mouse as per the instructions but my movement and aim are wobbling all over the place. Also, there is a pronounced delay in my mouse clicks. I shoot at a target long before they do at me and I invariably die first. It is super frustrating! I have the minimum requirements to play but clearly there are huge glitches. In other games I am successful as a sniper but in Enlisted I can’t get off a shot (literally 3-5 seconds to get the aim to settle unless prone and mounted) before I am hit myself. I can never see enemy before they see me unless at at 150m/yd distance and under cover. Then, as soon as I let off a shot, I most often get hit within about 5 seconds, before I can shoot again. It must be very frustrating for other players on my team but I have learned to be satisfied with only 20 hits per game (when lucky).

try adjusting your aiming mode sensitivity iv got mine set at 0.65 and it feels alright but if you want less wobbly just turn it down further and it will make it smoother

Thanks so much for your friendly feedback, WeedieMCtoke, but I already had it set to .5 and it is absolutely horrible. I’ll try even lower.

I tried several times and went as low as .25 but it didn’t get any better so I put it back to .5. There is such a delay when I shoot and the trigger (left mouse button) doesn’t always let off a shot so I miss many of the few opportunities that I do get. It seems to be getting worse all the time and now I am lucky to get 10 hits in one game.
