It has both better armour and gun than KV-1 (L-11), it can’t fight Panthers or Tigers which is a problem for a BR4 tank, but it has superb armour protection, better than any T-34.
I got a bit unlucky during my first engagement with it and my shell bounced off, that rarely happens when Im playing
Thanks, not sure when you tried it, but I just went on Practice and killed a tiger and Panther (keyhole surgery mind for Panther), not tried KT II yet, I think I will give it a few games, the armour is far better!
Now you have t 34 100 much better

KV-1 is glass for BR5, and it does not have a great gun either.
At least T-34-100 can deal with Tiger II upfront. It is not ideal, but there no really better option rn.

I still prefer the T-34-85 over the modernized KV. If you know where to aim, the turret of the this KV is still very easy to shoot through.
But it is very hard to consistently penetrate the T-34-85 turret, it can be so trollish.
Tbh I still think t34 85 fills the sweet spot on tier 4, used the t34 with the barbecue grills since it was released and I can’t see a reason on my playstyle to use other type of tank.
Is2 takes 3 business days to reload… Just meh
Kv feels too boxy for my taste
76w is actually a nice pick, atleast to demolish infantry, but, t34 85 does the job well enough
I was never a fan of kv1, even on stalingrad days I would rather use stz over kv1… Or most times Su76, but that’s another beast for another conversation
But KV has Zis3 gun, that is with APCR too, that is better gun than 76w (which is lovely tank too), and 85 I think? I recently got Su76, but in my BR3 (mid tier) line up 
Su76 is now tier 2 
My bad I got mixed up with Dicker Max… now all devs need to do is downtier Su85 like majority of axis TD
