M2 sight in BFV and COD WWII
Nah, bro, that’s too far. It is perfect like it is.
what ever happened to the ussr vs japan event that was teased forever ago
Pretty sure the M2A1 has more rate of fire
Yes, unnecessarily higher rof in combination with significantly worse recoil.
Meaning, the weapon is definitely worse at mid range in comparison to its TT counterpart.
Why is the M2 carbine a Rifle gun and the M2A1 and Hyde are Assault even though they are all automatic and use the same round
It’s pretty silly
Because the M2A1 is designed (gameplay wise) for use by vehicle crews due to the folding stocks.
Just like the M1E5 garand.
But back then it was solved by giving the weapon the smg class, not by some special treatment that the M1E5 rn has.
Okay, that makes sense. I still feel like the M2 carbine belongs as an assault rifle, but the M1 carbine should be a regular rifle still. After all, the STGs are assault rifles while their semi auto m1 carbine-like equivalent, the VG 1-5, is still a rifle.
Only if players could sell the weapon at full price (including upgrade costs) within some period of time after the change.
Because the weapon is currently used by large squads like riflemen, and then various specialists like AT gunners, engineers, radio operators.
Meaning, veteran players have purchased a lot of these weapons.
And changing the classification to AR would mean that the weapon couldn’t be used by as many soldiers as before.
Which would leave players with a load of surplus pieces of that weapon that would be completely useless to them.
So just by making this unnecessary change, they’d be punished pretty hard.
Hurray
Of course, that goes without saying. I certainly don’t blame people for using it with large squads.
I mean, I wouldn’t call aiming for parity with categorization unnecessary. It seems sort of like an unfair advantage to only let one faction use intermediate cartridge rifles with everybody. (Not a huge deal in practice though, just quite silly)
To phrase this a bit better: While not a huge deal in practice, and I wouldn’t call it particularly overpowered, I do think that in a game where a significant portion of gameplay is inventory management said inventory management should be logical and not have weird oddities in certain factions
As far as I am concerned, I don’t see any issue whatsoever.
The weapon is not broken, and doesn’t provide any significant advantage at all. Difference between AR and SF rifles on BR5 is basically all about personal preference of players.
Plus bots are more efficient with SF rifles than with AR rifles. And US was never dominating just because they had access to M2c.
Type Hei auto is superior to M2C in basically every aspect. Maybe with exception to ammo reserve.
I don’t think everything needs to be 1:1 symmetrically balanced. Then everything would play and feel exactly the same, it would just have slightly different looks.
If anyone should be bothered by something, it’s the German BR2 AR, which can be combined with assault engineers. Something like this is unprecedented at low BRs.
As I said it’s “Not a huge deal in practice though, just quite silly”. I definitely phrased my thoughts on it pretty badly, though.
let’s all see how much better it will be against worthless Breda PG (CR) that can’t hit anything with it’s 4 shot burst.
Maybe now it’s time to buff it??? I have 4 of them and always thinking about switching them to FG42 II since you waste so much bullets by not hitting what you aim at, you could aim at a barn and still miss 50% of your shots it’s pathetic.
Even in semi it’s worse than Breda PG (Carcano) and FG42 so what’s the point of that gun?
Ideas for next event/battle pass weapons:
MG14 Parabellum (Germany)
Ribeyrolles 1918 (USA)
Burton Rifle (USA)
Spoiler
Korovin AK-45 (Soviets)
Spoiler
Shortened M1 Carbine (Japan) modified to be fully automatic
So when are we going to downtier STG45 and MKB42 to BR IV?
