considering that the japanese one will be essentially the soldier with the highest ammount of kills due to being literally the starter character.
does that mean we will now get 2 samurai event squads ?

Yes, it’s not logical, but they have proven that they don’t care about logic.
Maybe they mean spawning with each soldier, meaning how many you have killed after each spawn.
Paid battle pass when we already have a monthly (that lasts 2-3 months) paid battle pass,

well its gun game, this game mode has existed in multiple shooters in the past decades, its literally just brain dead action, nothing wrong with that, but grinding through that for multiple days is gonna be heavy - Those Winchesters are looking pretty desirable, its basically a BR1 semi auto + a shot gun as a secondary weapon? sounds like stuff you dont want to miss out.

The PR has definetely been much worse since Keofox stopped being CM, despite his own flaws.
Shutdown is a ridiculous doomer take that will never happen. Look at CRSD, it’s way less played and successful than Enlisted, and yet even it is not shut down. If Gaijin as a publisher can keep something that bad running, they’re not just gonna drop Enlisted, lol

Maybe but that would mean the game would slowly die as it’s only content being added is dripfed every now and then and slowly being forgotten completely therefore never achieving it’s true potential, also apparently someone in this thread someone mentioned that some of the assets are actually from CRSD too?
I’m thinking it would be far more logical if they want to just drop this and move onto Active Matter they simply have Gaijin take all the content from here and start adding it to War Thunder if they add the infantry mode permanently, all of this screams they are cutting their losses after all
CSRED is basically Enlisted Battle Royale. They use practically the same everything.
The only reason CRSED still exists is because everything they need for it, they’re already needing for Enlisted too. I would not be shocked if even the servers used for Enlisted were also being used for CRSED, not least because why rent or buy two sets of servers for what is, fundamentally, the same thing?
CRSED will only continue to exist as long as Enlisted exists. Them keeping it running has nothing to do with the fact it’s 9 years old, and everything to do with the fact it’s basically part of Enlisted.
Some of the characters could be put into the game without being historically inaccurate.
The gendarme would be the most accurate one, because sometimes they took up arms against the occupier when the allied forces were near their city.
Japanese armour guy is weird, but we’ve seen WW2 pictures with guys wearing these, even if it was very likely just to take a souvenir picture.
There’s nothing really wrong with the bearded russian guy.
The russian space guy could be ingame, but only if they gave him historically accurate gear, like the gasmask, instead of the scifi one he has now.
Surprisingly, the native american one wouldn’t be the most inaccurate one, but his native outfit would have to be VERY toned down, and he should have the standard US army gear. If you’re curious, just check the history of Joe Medicine Crow.
The mafioso guy could very well be a resistant guy, or an undercover operative.
The characters that I don’t want to see are the “Jason Voorhees” guy, the pirate guy, the Mad Max guy, and the pot guy.
The german sleeveless guy is weird, and the black medic isn’t the most accurate because black americans were forbidden for frontline duties, but these two ones aren’t the worst.
Edit: Oh, and also the zombie guy shouldn’t be in game too, but if you really want to find a justification, you could say he was part of the charge of the dead men during WW1 in Russia, lol.

The first content in Enlisted when it came out was taken straight from CRSED, because the asset were already made in this game. Some of the assets still used today in Enlisted are still the same as the ones in CRSED, it’s particularly true for the weapons that have been ingame for the longest time. I think the Drilling is one of these if I’m not mistaken.
Why is the Mas38 BR-III? It’s only got 32 rounds. It’s about on par with an MP40 and should be BR-II

So what? How many people are playing enlisted for FFA gun game with concord level cringe characters? They’re not even funny. They’re just embarrassing.
DF is literally disrespecting core target audience of this game. And they have audacity to lock more than half of event rewards (that are completely unrelated to theme of this event) behind paywall.
This event is nothing less than big 
to every player that’s playing this game more than casually. To people who actually were fans of the game and supported the project financially.
I really feel like a fool now.

I always care about balance first, and since those guns are as you say locked behind a paywall, this gives me the biggest red flaggs, the event itself isnt an issue at all, no one needs to play it - well unless he want to get very good gear.
That being said, if those soldiers ACTUALLY GET ADDED TO THE BASE GAME, I would obviously stop playing the game.
Heck I already feel irritated seeing Panthers fight in Stalingrad - a bloody native American throwing Tomahawks would be 1000000 times worse…

I would really like to see an Italian guerrilla squad (for America) in the game, but unfortunately we don’t have the Italian battle, so it’s not possible at the moment.
