@James_Grove The Engineer in the event squad except the German one are unable to build AA, AT gun or MG nest. Which every other event squad that has Engineer in them are able to build making them worth it to use.
Can the Devs please add the ability to them like ever other event squad so they don’t feel like generic tech tree squad.
Can anyone explain how I progress, because in that zombie mode, I only get 2 BP done and can never complete the third (win!), so how on earth some people have all four squads already I have no clue, if you get tokens and don’t complete match you lose em right? I tried hard mode and can never match with anyone? I even spent gold on the event, have medic and engineer, but have progressed one level since, not even got fg yet… I guess at this rate 2 BP levels every day for a month
Is 2 BP levels enough to get squads, I don’t think so, at this rate this is my last gold investment in anything like this, if not.
I wanna add 1 more criticism: the event is way too grindy and time intensive (1h/day playtime expectation to unlock the bp tasks) even with the elite BP especially considering the tight timeline on the BP.
It feels like pay to grind. That’s not how it’s supposed to work.
Also, relative to time invested the silver gain is a joke.
I want Japan and Russian squad, spent 900 gold already, get rubbish squad mates, this event is actually quite frustrating as I do BP and then get 2 tasks (time related) then log, so on average only two BP tasks per day at most then log off, watching the progress bar go up a third… yes agree about grindy, god knows how you are supposed to progress without new BP!?!
I wish that one of the new squads wasn’t locked behind a paywall. I already bought the “premium” version of the current battle pass, do you really need more of my money, just to let me earn more rewards?
Thing is they give it back to you in form of gold. You could buy next pass with out spending a cent. This is a very reasonable method getting players to spend the gold they earn from battlepass to have to buy a new one with cash next time. They very well might remove gold from regular pass if people keep bitchin about having to buy another pass. From a sales and psychological standpoint it would be better to remove gold and then not charge for second pass because it’ll make most “feel better”. But reality is, it’s the same. Just have to be smart enough to realize it
Any way to prevent speedrun griefer rushing to the apc results in no one except him can deliver tokens on time and got way less halloween points than we supposed to get with the half-hour time spent go to waste?
I’ve encountered more than 3 times already, it usually a top skill players I think who thought their skill are superior than others or something, who can run all the way to the apc, not knowing he left hordes of enemies behind and no one can clear his mess to catch up with him on time till time runs out and died halfway through, can’t hop on the apc because enemies are all over the place, or died at the side of it.
Just what I replied to. This is why I think why some of us kept grumbling. Why just a “we’ll consider”, not a “we’ll add it, sorry for not considering it before”? Why introduce an otherwise possibly fun event skin to the ww2 part of the game? Have the original devs left and kids took over? Perhaps the devs are just fed up with the ww2-ish part of the community and they try to alienate us, or it’s just overreaction on our behalf after some other still unresolved issues due to similar half-baked concepts.
I’m absolutely okay if the weird stuff that was in ww2 is proportionally presented in the game, so give me a samurai for every 10 million non-samurai. Being constantly harassed by üvercivilians with their Obrez is not what I wish to play; now add the samurai and the thornk (thorny tank?) a month later and I will have a hard time explaining myself why I still keep myself entertained by the explosive spam. (It’s just my opinion, not representative at all.)
Btw. they did a tremendous job improving the game engine and work hard on improving some parts of it but there are some design decisions hard to support.
Good event, I feel like it was something much needed for the community to get away from the monotonous and boring stuff and start playing a good zombie mode. That’s the good part, now on to what (in my opinion) is the bad part. There is no barrier that incentivizes real players to race a group of 3 blind people to a non-existent victory. There are no rewards for killing zombies. There is no leaderboard like the last event. There are only 3 daily tasks, it doesn’t matter if you bought the battle pass or not. Why do they make us collect 800 tokens if we’re lucky enough to collect 80 per mission? There is no punishment for those who leave the game other than making them wait 5 minutes, just in case they get stressed, right?
I mean I attempted to call an artillery strike on a big group of US soldiers 40-50 meter away from our Le Bre strongpoint and I could not because our mapmakers used graphite pencils for drawing that part of the map. The radioman could order artillery ON our point or behind it.
Stop spamming the board with your discord-tier questions.
Also, again, they didn’t even think to CONSIDER it until we told them it sucked. SO therefore they thought it was a good idea before they announced it.
Progression is too tied to time consumption over anything else.
And the “win or waste most of your earnings” part (even with premoum BP) isn’t fun either.
Anything besides BP tasks provides too few tokens. Completing objectives gains minimum rewards, killing doesn’t matter at all. Purposefully spending time hunting for tokens in boxes isn’t worth it, given the RNG and that all of those go wasted should you lose for whatever reason.
In the time it takes to progress through a single step of the event BP, I could probably earn most or all of the 3 daily steps (9 stars) of the normal BP with premium.
EDIT: event matches don’t count as “game activity” (again), so now I can’t post in the forum anymore.
