Yeah, I guess zombie skins are less ridiculous than anime skins because they aren’t pink so it’s ok.
Sorry to dissapoint you but I’m a pessimist. I preffer to stop the potential threat before it emerges.
Dude, its blood, not a literal zombie as a gun
Its better to speak up before things get out of hand. Sorta reminds me of the “First they came” poem.
My feelings were a little mixed, but more towards the slippery slope than the items here.
In anycase, with the filter added (after the comments), All is well.
I’m not taking a side here, I just want to point out that the red primer Panzer IV was 100% historically accurate.
The new tank for sale is really alt-historical.
The PZ IV was actually represented IRL in the late war period and it happened to fit the zombie theme.
This Sherman and these heroes and rifles are right out of Fortnite.
Please make a bug report with clogs then, would help to understand the issue.
I mean, technically true. But it looks like at a human was sacrificed to get enough blood to cover one of those guns. Sorry but my BS tolerance is not big enough for this. Though that’s just my taste.
Also as others have said, slippery slope. That’s the main issue.
There really is more than “ meets “ the eyes.
Because people often forgets what doesn’t get trashed, allows to bring in the future. And such slippery slope can do nothing but worsen with times goes on.
And eventually used as an exscuses. “ we introduced X and no one said anything, how Y would be any different “
Which you would then crazy people asking for Z and what not.
A full circle. And more clownery in a ww2 game.
It’s not an hard concept.
Maybe people complains about them because they do care.
But, there a distinction to add for example, mechs as a game mode feature, or even just the zombie halftrack and Sherman skin, if we’re to be used in customs, mods or small events.
Completely the other to fit a skin that does not belong at all.
Because of people being quiet, or downplay it’s actual signs and implication are part of the issue as well.
I, do not forsee a good future when we get this kind of c*ap opposed as getting more ww2 stuff.
Really makes you think about them making stuff in “ less time “ than to fix other thing, such as a plane tree camouflage.
1 year, and no actual fixes to it to this day.
But have the audacity to sell a tank that no one asked for…
Really shows priorities uh…
Even though, we don’t exactly pull the strings.
it literally has pacific camo
Actually that’s kind of what happened to HA in the game.
At first we had some non historical things in game. Then more was added “because we already have X”. And more and more… and now we have a japanese wooden mockup tank and volksturm in tunesia.
But I guess ww2 is borng so we need to finally add something interesting to the game.
Ugh…
It’s not?
From what I can see from the picture,
It uses drab olive, tan and brown.
The one in the game is forest green, olive and orange.
Eh, it’s a bit different.
The game never really has been historical.
From day 1.
It’s more of an occurring “meme” between some players and df to justify some of their shortcomings and / or controversial changes.
Which it’s just ironic.
And it saddens me to say this.
But then again, it could have been easily prevented if the marketing team didn’t polluted the water.
What you mean no one complained?
Most comments there were controversial and the same glaring issues as today were brought up
It had plywood magically glued to its sides, what do you mean “historically accurate”?
How do you imagine wood installed as skirts for Pz IV?
Rivets? Bolted?
I mean, I agree with the rest. But the whole plank stitck I’m not sure it’s justified.
Like objectively speaking , the panzer IV j skin was more justifiable than this one. ( perhaps some of the gun shots scratches appearance were a little over done. But for the rest, a vehicle skin worthily of being actually a gold order. But how can they say no to gold. A bit of a tan get, but I find it funny that the first gold orders were better with decorations, tank markings, camouflages etc. and now, it’s just some camouflage and almost no decorations or sometimes, not even markings )
I’m okay with the gun skins since they are just bloody and covered in bandages which is okay and isn’t too far fetch but the tank is too whacky stuff if it’s going to be on the main game.
Same goes for the soldiers on which if they are going to be appearing on the main game is going to be extremely jarring especially the Japanese one with his Samurai armour, I honestly don’t understand why they were doing reasonable, grounded IRL soldiers for Gold Orders to then do this, this reminds me A LOT of Insurgency Sandstorm’s Chinese skins where they tried to put some Fortnite looking skins to the game and people riot over them to the point they scrapped them from the game.
If the devs aren’t changing their plans it would be appreciate it to have an option to turn them off individually so the player has a choice on specifically which contents they want to see and which ones they would like to avoid.
However I’m concerned that more events with absurd content bleeding into the main game will take priority over improving the game for example doing an overhaul on the movement and gun animations in several weapons that have some rough animations that look very poor in comparison to others.
Yes, it was not as disgustingly “steampunk” as this Sherman, but
I must have skipped Darkflow Engineering school cause I can’t see how this tiny wood plank can be attached to a perpendicular thin metal fender and why would Germans ever do that.
It was the beginning of the slippery slope and now we get Samurai and Mad Hans.
A possible reason, to have a side skirt.
Makeshift side skirts are not necessarily an “ unheard “ concept.
Hell, to this day some still uses them.
Which I don’t think would have been hard to make either.
Which shows and embodies ( or rather screams ) desperations.
Something that fits ww2 when it comes to for example, a panzer J.
And rightfully used with a red factory paint ( tad darker, but it’s still a pass )
Maybe we are over praying and seeing things that aren’t there.
A struck of Lady Luck on the visual team.
But it felt genuine.
Not this… “ ha ha funny zombie tank “
With spikes…
Lovely mental gymnastics, but this…
And this…
Are not the same.
I honestly think they could change the tank skin to that second picture of the model, keeping the hit marks around and it would be 10 times better and way more acceptable to see on the main game
If people wants to have this esque-warhammer40k tank on their team and some gay russian bear drinking vodka from his flask, i’m ok with it, not in my match. If they add a filter that would be a perfect start, but if you allow them to put a finger inside your ass, how long till they fist you up?
Keep WW2 game as a WW2 game or deal with whatever happens if you decide to change half the way, considering they will release the game in less than 4 years.
I found a huge bug according to the new event and custom battles:
playing standard custom battles and fullfilling the requirements (see screenshot) and playing with the required players only result in 100 silver after the end, instead of the shown silver.
same while playing against bots only - testet it out and result was multiple time 600-700 credits and 1.000-1.200 research points shown, but you get only 100 silver and the shown research points.
before the halloween event both worked perfectly.
I guess you event is overwriting the income in standard custom battles. please check and fix it.
