On topic of player leading an AI squad

There is a demo on steam of “Total Conflict: Resistance”. Kind of like M&B but modern.

Due to forum rules I won’t write more. But imo devs could get some inspiration from it. If not for the main game, at least for some future gamemode.

I wish we would have half as much squad command options in Enlisted as in this game.

This micromanaging style of squad members gameplay isn’t gonna work on the pacing we have now where attackers have to rush or lose the entire battle. The pace is just too fast to micro squad members where I would just rather have the squad members learn how to take cover and give covering fire without micromanaging anything.

Also there’s the need to learn how to recognize safe spots in the objectives and actually help me on the shooting which it was a huge improvement compared to Spring of 2021 where the bots just don’t do anything but not into perfection yet.

Lets be honest, i understand what you say, but this mean a premium user can use 5 or more squad at same time instead a f2p is locked to 4, it dont gonna work because it become p2w

Commanding multiple squads would be OP ineed. But better, more RTS commands for soldiers in your squad would be nice.

no, it would kinda require alot of work and potentially enlisted to be rewamped.
which, then, who gets to control what? and above all, will potatos pc handle more than 200 soldiers per time?

because so far, we only have at max ( and ideally ) 180 soldiers per match ( if everyone will play with trooper squad made out of 9 soldiers or even less. currently it’s a 10v10 right? )

Absolutely. I think we need to go the complete opposite route of micromanaging unless we want to completely restructure maps and game modes.

Automate them fully, removing all control from the player. Make them more predictable, less impactful on the individual level and more impactful on the tactical level. An example of that change in emphasys would be to make them target other bots first, turning them into a guaranteed protection for the player instead of random threat at long range or through vegitation.

they made few games as i understand [this one too - MILITARY]
so they do same mistake like darkflow made - many games for humble indie studio means all this games will be bad
they mast focus all attention on 1 game [and even this not guarantee game quality]
