I was thinking itâs event and new season. The thing that I was most enthusiastic about is that round was extremely well balanced, back and forth;
Germans held us out of the first cap pretty harshly, but I worked my way behind the bunker at just the right time, went on up and cleared them from the machine guns. We then pushed through 2nd cap with no opposition, worked up to second bunker, and bogged down. Germans pushed past the point and tried to loop around behind spawns. I had high ground overlook and started marking movements and calling in arty. We pushed them back, pushed forward, had the windmill surrounded, I got set up with paratroopers behind the point; blasted 8-10 guys from behind, our guys rushed up, Germans counterattacked, pushed us off the point. We countercountered and started capturing; almost had it and the Germans final push wiped our reinforcements.
Oof. That one stung. I called a charge against final cap with no reinforcements, I was taking the point with my last man then got rushed by 20 Japs. I dropped 9 before they dropped me, then our âsniperâ didnât engage the point as time ran out. Battle Hero, so that made the loss a wash.
Since I am playing BR III-V from both Axis and Allies perspective there is a noticeable difference in team quality for the benefit of Allies lately. It results in very boring and one-sided matches - newbies with single BR V event squad (or worse, a single high BR gold order weapon) are trashing the experience for everyone⌠Players actually equipped to play at high BR are quitting the matches as soon as there is a indication of no-win scenario - thatâs a fact.
The same very problem is present for years in War Thunder, although itâs consequences are not as painful as in case of Enlisted.
Since it is unrealistic that there will be some sort of BR lock implemented for the creation of âfail loadoutâ by newbies⌠There is a obvious need of AI filled lobbies that will funnel them to play together in âcontrolledâ environment.
Most definitely many players must have came back, also there are significantly more well armed and skilled players on Axis now.
Even veterans that have been playing BR2 came up to BR5.
As usual, Soviet BR5 is crushed by Axis while Soviet mains stay in low BR to stomp new players.
I played normandy yesterday.
We (axis) were raped by caliope, 115mm and CAS rain all the damn time. High BR is so much fun. Best ww2 shooter on the market.
Americans and Soviets heavily exploit that they only fight Germany in BR5.
Berlin and occasionally Stalingrad urban maps have completely different weapon and tactical needs than the mostly open Bulge.
US needs many new urban maps which limits the aircraft and artillery spam somewhat.
At least you have some Brownings and decent SMGs in other squads, not springfields and Brens. I am playing Tier III Allies too, researching my way trough tier IV to enter III-V territory with something more than decently equipped squad - not to mention mandatory AP-4 / Thunderbolt if noone feels inclined to cover from the air / do CAS.
Anyway squad loadouts are not the main pain point - useless Tier I and II vehicles are, just because they lock the slots without contributing anything apart of being EXP piniatas for the enemy.
Same experience, but I was the US player who just farmed Axis bots.
7k points per game, thereâs no faster way how to farm points for event than with calliope or p-47/corsair.
Maybe if I didnât play the worst BR3 tank vs BR5 ones. Though enemies were so stupid they allowed me to get 4 of their tanks without much effort.
[insert an old chinese manâs quote about underestimating the enemy]
I also tried to build AA to fight off planes but my squad was wiped 3s after the spawn by 115mm of love.
I love how US players complained about âTiger spamâ but think that itâs completely normal that 1 guy can cycle 3 aircraft squads without a break.
No, plane cycling should not be allowed, regardless of the faction. But this is also true for tank cycling. Imo, devs wonât ever change this because many people would be infuriated.
Tank cycling issue at least wasnât one player, but half of the team âtaking turnsâ, one guy cycling 3 tanks was far more rare than what US mains are doing in skys now.
