how long this will be a thing ? Why i need to fill my old squads that i don’t use, with my soldiers ? I could use this soldiers in academy for upgrades, also they weapons can be recycled for upgrades.
Question for my fellow players:
How you solve this problem with your squads that you dont use ?

But, you need fill slots in your old squads you can’t have just empty squad. Or can you ? IDK man
There is no way around. Filling them up with 1-star soldiers is the only thing you can do. That’s not a big loss, soldiers are cheap.
The clutter in the academy is what annoys me.
I think is little bit ridiculous … Developers should let you have empty squads. And if you are just very greedy and you send your soldiers to the rear or put them to the academy and you dont have soldiers to put in your empty squads.
What then ?
Simple solution is: Choose your empty squad, game should give you only for that one battle, squad with minimum soldier needed for that type of squad on one star and basic one star weapon. (no meds, no granades, just soldier with one weapon)
When a soldier isn’t assigned to any squad, in his inventory there’s a button labeled “remove all unnecessary equipment”. That will strip the soldier of everything but the default rifle and knife (all removed items will be sent back to your general inventory, nothing is lost). Make sure you use this function with “filler” soldiers before assigning them to a squad you want to retire.
Yes i know this function, but i don’t have enough Kar98 Kriegsmodell in Berlin so i need to give them something, which is another totally ridiculous thing, why they must have weapon if i dont use them anyway

“remove all unnecessary equipment” BTW this function was back then available even if soldier was in squad … this annoys me too … that i need put soldier to the reserve then click on this function a put him back to the squad, i rather unequim him manualy, it takes similar time anyway
Academy is so messed up that nothing else in this game.
There should be subsections for every different class example Trooper and Trooper 2 should be on own category not just mixed together.
Also there is no CLUE in which squad each member is assigned for when you want to train them you need to first figure it out by looking each squad switching back and forth until you and find that exact person to begin with.
Oh yes I forgot about that feature… I liked that, it was nice. Wish they’d put it back. I always keep non maxed soldiers in squads to make academy fod… applicants. It’s annoying when switching back and forth assaulters I & II for example.
