I believe the solution for off-limit tanks was either learn to aim.
Or kamikaze them.
Its not like this tank on tank imbalance is a new thing, infact these solutions were kindly provided by allied mains to germans in past.
Which Im kindly reminding to you allied mains.
If I recall it has the same weakspots regardless of the range, so I believe its a issue with aim or just with l2p.
The problem isn’t L2P but once against learn to read. You are flaming with nonsense. The point of having off-limits tanks for Germans is that you can’t “kamikaze” the said tanks. On Normandy you will be dead before even reaching the tanks with your troops. Even if the tank is closer to the frontline you will most likely be wiped out before you reach the off-limits tank. Now this is evidence that you haven’t played the game in Normandy.
Regarding the weak spots of a tank it’s relative to firepower and distance and isn’t an absolute value. For example the sides of a Panther are weaker than the front, but it won’t be a weak spot if your gun can’t pierce it due to poor firepower and range. The front of a Panther can’t be damaged at that distance by a Jumbo with a 75mm gun. You can aim at the gun, at the machinegun or whatever you want, there is no weak spot.
so far I havent met such off limit tank that you cant kamikaze with plane.
Clear L2P issue.
I could check what was the solution for pz4 vs Jumbo back in days to give you more detailed solutions.
But the main articles were learn to aim, L2P and Flank it.
Probably something about AT weapons too and maybe even kamikaze with plane.
So id say its balanced and you just have to learn to play.
This is again a problem of logics. We are in a thread about tanks, and you talk about planes. In that game as you already noticed, you can’t choose between planes and tanks right in the middle of battle or even before it begins. So you’re stuck with tanks or planes. Therefore I won’t discuss that point as this is evidence that you don’t play the game or haven’t played it for quite some times. This is something commun in forums: players who stoped playing the game ages ago keep writing on the forums for whatever reason.
I believe its quite relevant to subject as ASS-ymmetrical balance is brought up in every turn by,
Allied mains.
So other than that its evident that allied mains lacks the L2P ability of aiming at panthers weakspots, and alternative way to deal with it is brought up.
Perhaps I dont ? But imagine if you spent all this time to L2P you spent here on forums shedding tears of unfair game, you would be slightly better at the game.
To sum up the main point of German mains there: “You can take out a Panther with a toothpick”. I agree. If I can manage to get close to the Panther, it’s technically possible to enter through the hatch then kill the Nazis inside with the toothpick starting with the eyes, I guess.
However in real life this is very hard to do. The discussion isn’t about how and if you can take out the Panther but about imbalance. Is it easier for the Panther to take out your tank before you do? Answer is yes.
Now there could be some slight imbalance between factions regarding tanks. The problem is that Germans can pin down a whole team on the maps of Normandy without too much efforts.
It’s bringing and Interesting theory my dear @Shiivex !
Could it be…
Could it be that those complaining about panther and jumbo repeatedly are diehards ameriboos and werhaboos respectively!?
Eheh I’m lvl 13-14 in that campaign and neither cause me troubles. In fact I have more problems as infantry vs a good fast puma or second usa (howitzer) tank than those 2 big and slow tanks.
