In fairness I can see how they mixed it up, I would have loved a plane but ah well, maybe next time.
Thoughts on rewards this event? Better / Worse than last year, I think they should allow people to buy fw189 or Rhino or anything from prior events, if people want to.
I rarely see the PPK squad in Berlin, I see even less Uhus (maybe twice this year) and I know only one who uses the Rhino which is Joe. Dunno about the swords-
PPK squad is useless and their camo is ugly, Uhu is like biplane but a wasted Stuka or Bf and I still prefer my M4A2 over the same shitty M5 with semi-better ammo.
I keep both Silencer squad because skins and layout of modern premium squads (see more silenced Stens in Africa than MP40s in Normandy). I dont use the BT-7/ T-34 incest child because KV chad movement, I will keep using my US-pilot profil pic and free gold order tickets are always cool.
I wish they would add the FW 189 as a premium or collector squad for Tunisia because it was actually used there.
The new special squads are nice, but I kind of wondered why they gave one to just the Allies in Tunisia, when they’re kind of notorious for being all SMG users anyway and not give anything to the Axis.
The Russian tank is interesting but why would you use it when you could use a T 34, it might be more interesting if all of the machine guns on it actually worked.
I got all the Italian swords and I gave them to my assault squad and my motorcycle squad, I very rarely ever use them, but one day I did manage to kill about 10 guys with them before they got me, so yes if the circumstances are perfect you can get a lot of kills with them.
like, you can use them for a long time and use it’s beneficts ( aside from portraits. which looks very cool don’t get me wrong, but not my cup of tea. i’d like to see portraits of vehicles gold order vehicles/soldiers, weapons or just even screenshots of maps if not pictures of flags of the factions. )
such a shame that for me personally, even though i’ve unlocked the german and s.a.s squads, i don’t really use them due to having already maxed out normandy axis, and i’ll never touch tunisia because it does not looking appealing to me ( despite being semi-italian irl )
beside, all cool and all serves different purpose.
I think I’ll echo everyone else’s sentiment that I can do without the portraits.
The squads however are extremely welcoming, it gives F2P players a unique squad without having to spend a single penny. An even playing field so to speak.
I had not been to Normandy in a long while, but since the event I have been almost everyday using that squad. Its so much fun, and I never really had an appreciation for the MP40 when I first started playing.
After using the squad I actually pulled the MP43s off one of my assault squads and reequipped them with MP40s too.
I hope future events keep giving us Infantry squads, it was a reward that I really looked forward to earning.
