OH LORD? Did you just add a realistic "bullet in the chamber" mechanic? AND that for closed bolt weapons only?

For those who don’t know what I am talking about:

FG42 being a close bolt gun - when reloading with still having ammo in your magazine / chamber left, you now have 21 rounds instead of 20.

while PPSH being an open bolt gun - where reloading will always result in the same amount of ammo, because you keep the bolt open after reloading ( no bullet in the chamber)

gg devs, this detail is very very appreciated

actually, now that I am thinking about it, was the FG42 only “closed” in semi fire mode?

oh no, I might have spotted a mistake? Or am I misunderstanding its mechanics?

The FG 42 in semi-automatic mode fired from a closed bolt but in full auto it fired from an open bolt, so it should not keep a bullet while in the auto mode.

but, technically, if you reload while having it in semi auto, you would get 21 rounds even if you change to full auto afterwards - because switching afterwards would keep the bolt closed, but hold it open after the first shot fired.

Oh man, why are those things so complicated?
