What about those two? Just because you have 4 bullets more in magazine doesn’t mean it’s BR4 worthy (PPS-42 at BR2 has very similar stats as them anyway)
There is also issue of Vitality perk + stacking body armor which happens a lot in BR3+ but even at BR2 you can see it’s impact on underpowered german smgs.
Conclusion is that Soviets are playing with vastly undertiered smgs all across entire TT. A lot of downtiering is needed for Germany and FNAB-43 needs a higher rof model.
Only way atm to get somewhat competitive smgs are to buy PPS-43 Squad, MAS-38 event BP or MP18 (it’s still inferior to PPS-42/43).
This type of balancing should not exist and Soviets getting yet another BR2 smg only makes issue even worse it’s spitting in the faces of German players that you want to whale or rush through BR2-4 just to get to BR54 where they will finally skip smgs and get some high power ARs and LMGs while completely ignoring crappy Kiraly smg that has still weaker power than BR3 PPSh-41 box.
Some people complain about the German submachine guns in BR2, while others complain about the American tanks in BR2. I’m also dissatisfied with the position of BR4. Well, there isn’t much scientific basis for this tech tree. I wonder when DF will re - examine it. It seems that they have made a little response? We shouldn’t have too much expectation.
After having the best MGs, assault rifles, semi-autos, a belt-fed SMG, and even captured Soviet SMGs, clueless German mains players be like:“Omg our SMGs are soooo underpowered, this is so unfair ”
They don’t care much about our complains unless it hurts their revenue. And i guess their method is working as i want to buy that PPS-43 squad for my BR2 lineup as i’m tired of underpowered MP40/M1, they are good as a secondary but not as primary.
In the case of BR3, I agree to a certain extent.
MP41(r) is the only weapon that can beat PPsh-41 in GE. (BR3 SMG Top is 30.cal Tompson)
Of course, MP41(r) is good for the perfect top-compatible performance of PPsh-41, but the problem is that it’s an event weapon.
But in the case of BR2, I think it’s a little different.

This is the most powerful SMG of all BR2 Factions.(even event, premium, battlepass, etc…)

You people seem to have partial amnesia and only remember about “german biases” that rarely exists and nothing about USSR/USA/JP biases that happen all the time, BR3 is dominated by BAR (its’s so good that i have two MG squads full of them on my German BR3 lineup), BR2 is dominated by Amazing Hotchkiss M1922 (JP), M24/29 (USA), MG13 is worse than them both.

Semi autos such ones? G41 that takes ages to reload? Fg42 that got power creeped by T20 and Super Hei? Only AVT-20 is worse than Fg42 and i bet they are already looking to introduce 20mag version. Or overly nerfed G43 kurz which is now a joke at BR5. Or maybe Breda PG (CR) that can’t hit a barn standing in front of you after first round? That trash weapon needs a massive buff or downtier to BR3.
Belt fed smgs? There is only one and you can have at max 4 of them, they are inferior to NKVD Thompson anyway. Plus Soviets can run unlimited amount of PPSh-41 drum. Honestly what’s difference are between 100 rounds and 70 when you can spawn two more squads full of 71 round smgs? while once as germany you lose one squad it’s a game over.
Captured Soviet smgs are very limited in quantity i only have 2x MP-41, MP717 are only available to veteran players like me and you rarely see them, we are long overdue to receive actual competitive smgs comparable to PPS-41 box and PPSh-41 drum at BR3, BR4 and BR5, PPS-43 captured squad is a premium squad so you see Gaijin’s methodology - want usable smg? Then pay us $20 or stop complaining and play as Soviets or Japan where you will get insanely powerful smg for free.
It has very bad recoil (over the double of PPS-42!!!), bad mag placement so you can’t see anything on the right side of the screen, low mag size and can’t hit anything at the mid range. It’s only outstanding at very close distances. No way in hell it’s better than both PPS-43 and PPS-42 (42 is better in my opinion as it’s the minimal recoil and great rof that you won’t need to waste bullets)
Use the 4th grade Assaulter Full stats Super Soldier, and full upgrade weapon.
That’s the basics for now, and I’ve easily dealt with 50~75m with Automatico.
If you can’t, practice until you can.
Automatico is not an easy weapon.
But the high point is higher than any other weapon.
BR2 germany gets the excellent MG 13 and very good MP40 / Beretta M1 compared to utter garbage soviet Madsen and excellent PPS 42/43 - germany overpowered, please nerf!
BR3 germany gets the excellent MG 34 and very good ZK-383 compared to very good DPM and excellent PPSh-41(Box) (it’s dispersion is also almost certainly a bug, makes 0 sense otherwise why wouldn’t the BR5 drum version get it too?) - how dare Gaijin have rough weapon parity, this is outrageous!
BR5 germany I haven’t gotten to yet, but MG 42-100 is clearly the best tech tree MG in the game. And why would you complain about the AS-44 when the Fedorov is superior under almost all circumstances?
And then we can get into the consistent advantage germans get in tanks, culminating in the King Tigers. But germany suffers, right? Get good kid.
I think it’s a remnant of when DF tried to give faction asymmetry thus giving Soviets better SMG because in real life they loved their SMG. It was acceptable few years ago before the addition of Fedorov and AS-44, now it’s a joke of a system.
Statistics vary from person to person.
In the end, the skill of the user is important, so it can change accordingly.
In my case, Automatico is better than PPS-42,43. (Of course, it’s not that they’re bad.
Just Automatico is more higher at its peak.)
So practice more.
