Here is the complaint:
Removing the campaign and allowing soldiers to equip weapons from all timelines, screwing up the historical context of weapons, making certain legions appear in battles they’ve never been in…these changes completely destroy the immersion.
“It all reconstructs a true historical battle atmosphere” (Introduction from the official website)
Is this game shifting from “classic campaign” to “World War II themed arcade FPS”?
Regarding the suggestions I want to make, I think economic changes such as the tech tree and single armory can help reduce repeated grinding, but it is still necessary to retain the campaign.
Let all campaigns share the Armory and Tech tree, but still limit the weapons they can use (Afrika Korps can still only use weapons found in Tunisia), and make the equipment numbers not interfere with each other between campaigns (if you have a G43K, you can equip one in both Normandy and Berlin, because they will not actually be equipped at the same time), (To me) would be the sweet spot for updates.
BR hasnt been added yet. No idea what this looks like yet.
The vast majority wouldnt have a clue what squad served where. And if you do, you control your deck. just dont choose them. Immersion maintained. You wont be able to tell what squads are running around that arent your own, they will all look no different than they do now (they are tied to the same Map uniform pool that exists now)
