Not So Even Fight

After several days of playing this whole Japanese Russian thing, I’ve only seen the Japanese win once, It pretty much seems like it’s a Russian steamroll at least from my vantage point.

And the aircraft options are pretty freaking bad, From a balanced perspective.

The Japanese really do need some sort of low level Imperial Japanese Army fighter so we don’t have that constant zero from the aircraft carrier which always puts the Japanese pilot at a disadvantage When the opponent has air starts.

The Kate having no forward firing guns isn’t really helping the situation either.

it honestly depends on your teammates if they feel like winning or not. I just won a conquest match as Japan because our team actually attacked all 3 points non stop and the enemy couldn’t keep a rally point up. yesterday regardless of what side I was on I won most of them but the ones we lost were somewhat close with the enemy team have around 300 tickets left over. if you’ll like to win try teaming up with 2 other players and spawn in APC when ever you can and keep rally points up but theres always a chance you’ll match up vs a group of dedicated players trying to win as well

i dont care about win or loss in this event, i just care about farming points. although i have won quite often with japan(last one was with japan) and it all depends on teammates. cause there is no SBMM, you will get random skilled teammates, so maybe it is just your bad luck…

I have seen it about equal in terms of wins and losses.

On the pacific maps especially 2 Tigers can spam HE all the way to in front of the enemy spawns and can keep the Soviets from even getting up to the points.

The best way typically to take out tanks is with planes but all of the planes in this event have pathetic bomb loads that do nothing to tanks. AT weapons have been nerfed heavily and you will use up 4-5 rockets just zeroing in onto the tanks at the long ranges. One HE round will delete your whole AT squad.

I would say overall the squads are frustratingly badly set up. Maybe its for some kind of “balance” but its balanced to be most annoying.

It would be nice if they added daily loot boxes like the April Fools event…

Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this event very much, but what can you do? At least they gave us an event to play…:video_game:

I’ve won once as Japanese, and lost once as Soviet.

The Kate is the most egregious and obvious difference f’sure - a Val (D3A) would be better IMO - slightly smaller bombload, but it dogfights really well

Wow Japan acutally win a single game ? i did 5x the 12.000 sofar and havent seen them ever even getting close to a win.

This is hands down the worst event I played.

are you playing rally points on flanks? a good spot is in the water canal in the city map. For the islands you gotta swim around lol and try to put a sneaky rally point on the edge of the islands and the beach ones you gotta rush the first point or if you dont want to rush you need to get control of the high grounds

the last thing I would blame for my defeats for the Japanese in this event is the superior Soviet weapons, the only thing that is objectively better than the Japanese is the PPSH41 box, so it wins over the Type 100 late due to accuracy, everything else has its advantages and disadvantages overlapping each other, but not allowing something to be too weak or too effective

I had bunch of wins with Japan, though I would say that

Soviets always having air spawn is a big advantage

Is-1 armour seems extremely trolly and they seem highly resistant to even 250kg bombs

Both sides infantry squad weapon compositions are ass.

The first day I played all four of my games as Soviets winning all. The second day, I played twice as Japanese winning one, and twice as Soviets winning once, so, the only imbalance I saw was on the first day. But I quit after those two days.

Personally I’m indifference to winning or losing in general I’m really just about playing the daily challenges.

It just struck me from my vantage The Russians seem to be steamrolling the Japanese mostly.

And since player doesn’t really get to choose what side he’s on It struck me as curious that it would seem to be so lopsided.

japan on other hand has
ke7 >> dp27
type hei AR >> fedorov
although they are much less impactful cause of their rarity.

I don’t know why, but with the Type 4 I manage to make more kills than with the svt 38, maybe I’m just unlucky or the Type 4 has more damage at a distance, which makes it more effective in my hands, so it’s subjective

the su-2 and b5n2 are actually some kind of joke from the developers, the Japanese just need another attack aircraft with a similar bomb load, it was most likely taken because of the lack of attack aircraft similar to Soviet attack aircraft, besides, what is the use of such attack aircraft if they are shot down by fighters almost immediately when approaching the battlefield, and in an air duel where the a6m2 is more efficient, and the fact that it needs to take off from an aircraft carrier is not even a minus for me, it has a decent rate of climb, besides, the aircraft carrier allows you to repair the aircraft after a duel

Hei AR +- = AVT 40 20 if he does not notice the difference in cartridges and in the jumping bolt, Hei AR and I also very rarely use Hei AR and fedorov in fully automatic mode, I usually use semi-automatic shooting mode because the recoil is lower and the saving of ammunition is better (I only used it 2 times all the time AVT 40 20, I don’t even remember which units he was in, it’s possible that the fighter with him was always killed first for some mysterious reason)

it has 0.5 more damage, but it has worse damage drop off, so it has some advantage over vitality on some 5 meter on ~50m. otherwise both guns have ~same performance damage wise. maybe just a skill issue, but i am more imprecise with type 4 than with svt38. also svt38 has 2.6 reload, while type 4 has anywhere from 4-5.9 seconds for full reload.

problem with carrier take off is long time to get speed and height. yes it is good plane, but having option of air spawn would make it great option for fighter. also CV repair is overrated. you need to land and take off again which slows you down immensely and this is rather fast paced game. it would have been better to just die and then spawn into something else than to repair.

cause of bad squad configuration i even forgot that there are avt 40 20 in the game. i would even give AVT 40 20 advantage on pacific maps if all soldiers had vitality cause of usual engagement range. but cause devs probably put non meta perks they are ~same.
