I know this might be a controversial opinion, but I’m not entirely upset with anti-cheat systems for failing to completely eliminate cheaters. From what I’ve seen, no matter how many times someone gets banned, they just return with a VPN and a new account. I honestly wish there was a more effective way to get rid of them for good, but it seems like no such solution exists. I’m not a tech expert, so I’m genuinely open to learning if anyone has ideas or insights on how this issue could be resolved especially with the recent news I found on YouTube video that IP banning doesn’t work anymore.
There’s very simple solution for you, turn off crossplay.
If only that was an actual solution to cheating my boy.
I’m aware of this solution which I am currently using however it doesn’t really do much for the longevity of the game on its own. Cross play is almost essential for having a fully healthy game community.
I don’t know, I guess I’m weird. But cheating doesn’t strike me as a significant problem in Enlisted.
Compared to other online FPS games I’ve had the “pleasure” of playing. Cheating in Enlisted is exceptionally rare.
I don’t want to accuse you of being paranoid or anything, which is why I offered a simple solution instead.
Playing only against bots and console players, you definitely won’t have to be so insecure about cheaters.
That’s fair I’ve actually ran to quite a few mostly people that spawn into my own spawn point and instakill tanks

pc is to cheaters as dog is to fleas
That’s not a cheating lol.
Put it this way. Nothing. Will. Ever. Completely stop. Cheaters. Ever. Well, except removing the rules altogether and making all things fair, but that quickly turns in to a race to the bottom. Fact is; with any rules/laws/social norms; you remove those egregious enough to get caught, but eventually corruption wins and the system falls apart.
That’s why organisms die, that’s why governments collapse, that’s why game servers are shut down. Because corruption happens and the cycle continues. In this case, the devs are actively working on removing players who use third party software. That’s all that can really be asked.
Also, can we effing stop with the “PC players are cheaters” thing? Yes, PC players have the option to have their credit cards stolen in exchange for an unfair advantage in a video game. It’s a silly thing to do. Let’s be honest; though. PC hardware is (at least potentially) more powerful (better framerates and lower latency are a considerable advantage), and the interface devices are more precise. My understanding is that console players who use keyboard and mouse on console are considered cheaters. Why is that? Because it is a more precise control scheme. In fact; in order to allow console players to have ANY chance; console versions have BUILT IN aim assist. This is an absolutely necessary balancing element. I remember back in 2006 or so reading about Microsoft doing cross-platform testing and finding that average PC players were embarrassing pro-level console players. So, just stop. If you want to play on a console, that’s fine. If you want to play on a PC, that’s fine. Just know that of the two; the PC has inherent advantages in competitive play, and it’s not because “hackers”.
I would challenge that statement. Without the kind of file access available on an operating system not locked six ways from Sunday it’s extremely difficult to gain an unfair software advantage, but not impossible. Beyond that; there are still ways that console players gain unfair advantages. Lag switches, good old fashioned glitching, hardware addons, that sort of thing.
People will always seek to gain any advantage they can. Even console players.
lagging yes, but how do you glitch a multiplayer game what add on’s…but ok 99% of online multiplayers game cheaters are pc
and speed running isnt cheating, cheating is only really cheating when playing human players
or for records when it is against the rules
sorry but given the closed environment its nearly impossible to cheat on console
most console cheating is simply to disconnect to avoid a loss in fighting games
