Not Equal Lobby Opponents

I keep facing top players, with max lvl of campaign and it’s basically being spawnkilled since their weapon and way of playing is way higher then me or the rest of my team. U can clearly notice them since they manage to get easely 150 kills and the rest of the players have only 30 kills. If they are so good they should face others good players of their lvl and skills so thats more fair. I feel like and bot that keep being killed by those 1/2 top players that u face against. I started playing not so much ago and I’am already intentioned at disinstalling this game. And this problem exists with all the players at my beginner lvl.
PLS try making the lobby a bit more equal, and let the “swets” play against others “swets”.

I agree this game is hyper unbalanced, it’s mostly a showdown of high level players. New players should play the easy factions first.
moscow allies
berlin allies
tunisia allies
normandy axis

I am a new player, i have about 20hours of play. Mostly in moscow and normandy.

In both campaigns, about 20% of the time i spawn, my squad is immediatly wiped by some explosion or some guy with a gun that is a thousand times better than anything i have.

After 20hours i only managed to have 15silver soldier cards.

My squads are 90% rifleman.

This game favors veteran players a lot and i am probably gonna quit soon because of it.

As that guys on other side i agree with You, sometimes playing feels like war crimes with whole team killing other on spawn.
I would even prefer to play bots sometimes, and that could be only solution as there is not enough high level players around.
Sadly the custom matches that could solve that easly, by giving us all matches we could enjoy ended up being nerfed to oblivion.

So as there propably won’t be any help for new guys soon, and every second patch seems to screw You over, i can only suggest one thing.

Desertion.

If You see unbalanced match and don’t feel like playing, quit and join next match. Half the time it’s playable, not every match is winnable. (telling signs include: losing cap in 2 min, spotting high level weapons/tanks, many engineer points in other team while little in yours)

I agree in general, some games can be very unbalanced. I am a noob on level 13, playing only Normandy Allies. About 1 out of 9 to 12 games is very unbalanced with axis completely dominating, based on 240 games played so far. However, if there is at least one other player moving spawn points ahead, and understands where to put pressure, the game can change and get very interesting. That doesn’t mean Victory, it means a fighting chance. Without players putting down spawn points and some players capable of taking out vehicles or a dominating player quickly, it is usually a losing battle, however can still be fun. Just understand there are good days and bad days, you will feel like WTF 2 or 3 squads dying and not even a shot fired, extremely frustrating. Change tactics, hope you and another player or 2 can move the ball down the field, if not happening, just concentrate on fewer deaths until over.

Also stay away from other players, keep far as possible distance so you wont get mowed down by smg’s.
This way you can enjoy the game to the fullest at the edges of map.
Super fun.

A lot of this comes down to something that’s been said a bunch of times on this forum. There are only a limited number of spawns (on some maps or in some objective chains there may only be ONE spawn point), and there are people out there who have those memorized or have a guide or map or some reference. Randomized spawns, added spawns, added AND randomized spawns would all reduce this to some degree.

The player-based fix is to build rally points. No one argues with that. But we’ve all been in games where either people don’t understand to build rally points, or the map layout makes that difficult, at best. And if you’re just starting a newly unlocked squad, you won’t have an engineer to throw into the mix.

There are also people who play Enlisted that either don’t understand English (or whatever language you prefer) or are simply unable to read. I’ve played at least a half-a-dozen games where, on Normandy Airfield map, even with the TEXT at the top of the screen “Pop the Barrage Balloons for Additional Resources,” the ATTACKING team NEVER popped a single Barrage Balloon! They deployed smoke, drove tanks, built sandbags and everything else…but those balloons just escaped them, for some reason.

IMO, the development needs to “player proof” some of the issues like spawn camping, grey-zone sniping and so forth (within reason).

The player base also has to meet these issues halfway by building rally points, using combined arms (artillery, tanks, planes) and otherwise playing at least competently if not intelligently.

The engineer tutorial was a good start, but I think there needs to be a battle tutorial or something similar that illustrates ALL the roles and shows their usefulness in an actual game. I will freely admit that I have no idea how big a pain in the ass that would be to develop.

None of this is to say that you’re at fault, you’re not. But no matter how much experience you gain, if you choose to continue, you’re going to be stuck with other human players and as you learn what you should be doing on each map/campaign you’ll begin to notice what others aren’t doing.

Learn to enjoy the pain, I guess??!!?!
