I dont own one yet, but sometimes i pick up off the ground, press U, and the soldier loads the grenade, but when i press left click, nothing happens. Am i missing something?
Yeah, you’re missing grenades to put on it. You’re only putting on the adapter. You don’t pick up the special grenades to go with the gun

if i remember correctly they are always unloaded when you picking up it.

When u pick out a grenade launcher weapon in the ground it will not give u the ammunitions of the grenade to use it
