Why can’t gaijin just make the old enlisted a separate game. One that’s apart from the new enlisted?
You should be grateful that they haven’t shut down the game.
That I have a mixed opinion about. They can keep updating and supporting this game but just give us the old enlisted but as another game. Just add a few of the campaigns in or just combine some of them simply into fronts. Just let us transfer progress if anyone wanted to
What I do miss from the old game is being able to choose fronts/maps. But that’s it. The current version we have, despite it’s own issues here and there, I feel it’s much better than the old Enlisted in many aspects. The inclusion of APCs, and vehicles and units not restricted to one specific front, the game progression system and tech three, etc.
I support the merge, however I believe in theatres.
So there’s ONE tech tree for each faction, as is the case at the moment.
But then players can choose between different theatres of the war to play.
Each theatre would have a variety of maps.
Please see the examples below, they are purely examples. The theatre is italicised.
Allies:
Europe:
Normandy
Battle of the Bulge
Battle for Italy
France 1940
Balkans (Greece, Crete, Yugoslavia)
Desert War
Tunisia
Egypt
Libya
Middle East (eg Syria-Lebanon)
Pacific
Solomon Islands (existing maps)
Burma
Okinawa
Phillipines
New Guinea
Dutch East Indies
Singapore-Malaya
Germany:
Europe
Normandy
Battle of the Bulge
Battle for Italy
France 1940
Balkans (Greece, Crete, Yugoslavia)
Berlin
Vienna
Belgrade
Poland (?)
Desert
Tunisia
Egypt
Middle East
Eastern Front
Moscow
Stalingrad
Rzhnev
Soviet Union:
Europe
Berlin
Vienna
Belgrade
Poland (?)
Eastern Front
Moscow
Stalingrad
Rzhnev
Leningrad?
Japan
Pacific
Solomon Islands
Okinawa
New Guinea
Dutch East Indies
Phillipines
Singapore-Malaya
China (?) (this could include Burma maps)
Manchuria?
I like the theatres idea but for these maps to be applicable just make sure the t20 and M2’s are replaced with a select fire rifle version of the BAR a2 and johnson.
I’d say take Moscow out but replace it with country side Leningrad maps so the time period it’s in makes sense for the first tigers that were deployed in the eastern front and give Germany the captured m24/29 as a select fire rifle to combat the AVS, T-34’s and kv-1’s
Because suddenly the player base will be split up and then everybody has to suffer from long queue times
Thank you for your positive response.
Yes see that’s one of the reasons for theatres.
The devs could tailor content to that theatre (but still one tech tree) so we would no longer see desert camo Crusader tanks in the Pacific or LVTs in the Battle of the Bulge.
Chinese squads would only be applicable in the ‘Pacific’ theatre against Japan, and would swap to American uniforms for maps outside of Burma or potential Sino-Japanese War.
I expanded on this in my original post about it but yeah within theatres maps would be associated with different BRs.
So like France 1940 as you alluded to would be say BR I-II so there wouldnt be any T20s or M2s)
Others like the Dutch East Indies or Poland could apply to low and high BRs (i.e early and late war), maybe with more damaged buildings and tank hulks in higher BRs which would represent the destruction over the course of the war, and make for more challenging maps at higher BRs.
We would get some level of historical accuracy by nature without too much change. We already have certain maps such as Berlin tied to certain BRs.
Guess people dont remember the struggle
Because it would be stupid.
This might be the only semi-successful multiplayer game that doesn’t allow players to have control over which map and which gamemode they’re able to play when they queue in. What kinda clown shit is that?
On the one hand, there aren’t enough players. On the other hand, after the campaigns were merged, we have even fewer choices. And most importantly, it has become a difficult problem for the game to even get updated. That’s just the truth.
That is not on anyone but themselves, they have thoroughly examined whether or not they had the capability to even implement a 30-day season.
They have put most of their energy into the active matter. Whether the AM is successful or not, the situation of Enlisted won’t be very promising. This is a stupid decision. It’s hard to see a bright future for this game.
I remember the struggle back then as i played the harder sides of the game like Berlin allies and Tunisia axis it’s just I miss having a say in what theatre I want to play on with the gear I have equipped for. I’m not asking for campaigns but at least give us the option to pick theatres that way they could give us the close to the preferred maps system they promised to hand us on the roadmap
agree, that is one of the worst thing.
The worst of all for me is that one third of the game in you know already who will win. 100% impossible to change the outcome, and yet you stuck in to play the rest of the match which is just boring and frustrating…
Also the absurd level difference matching, I get it that they need to get player together, but putting up players with opponents ten times better than them is silly.
I know that feeling all too well my friend. I play with a big group of friends who are at the same skill level as I am. So I understand how big the difficulty gap is between running with your friends who you can coordinate with best and running rather by yourself or with randoms that know nothing about building rallies and playing the fucking objective
I don’t remember we ever have this kind of complain
We only complained about trade queue times for more balance match
edit: Well yes creating “new game” will split up playerbase and kills two games, what some of the players want is more like “demerge”.
Have you ever played campaigns other than Normandy and Moscow?
1-2 minutes queue times were pretty normal.
And if you wanted to play the more popular faction in that particular campaign, that meant even longer queue times.
I already have like 4 minute queue times just to play as Japan on NA servers (I dont have good internet, I’m not playing on the other 2 regions)
i dont imagine dividing the player base even further will improve that
