I think the collective ROF may even be lower than it should be.
It takes a LOT of time with trigger pressed to run out of ammo, I suspect that although the total ammo count is correct, less than 8 guns may actually be firing.

Funny you say that, as i seem to notice only 2x tracers from each side, when i shoot at plane?, unless they alternate the tracers or something

I was wondering the same. Even so, 4x 50cal shooting alternatively with the other 4x 50cal is well enough 
Probably better this way, too. Like @Serpiko82 said, ammunition count would deplete needlessly faster if all 8 were shooting simultaneously.
