There are two wide flanking positions on beach to infiltrate mg position from behind but whay generally allied players do ? They execute direct frontal assaults to mg points. Problem is normandy allies are generally newbies or bots. Experienced migrated to tunisia. If you take the first german poisition before sustaining 200 -300 casual. Around. German team will have very hard times. Every good teamplay can win against good german team with exposing those flanks and hill that surrounds the valley. Germans can only use their land vehicles effectively on first point and the last point. Tanks are better at Uphill battles. This is why ecperienced germans generally play on infantry at normandy map after they lost the first poistion.

also it dose not help that most of the time the german team has many more vets
With Normandy Ally, most of the time I have to destroy the MG sand bags, I have to clean the bunker with HE, I have to put strategicly place rally (for exemple flank the wall, or top of the left or right montain), i have to spam smoke and a 9 men squad, i have to take a p47 to kills grey zone tanks.
It just work and it’s fun to have a challenge. But it can be frustrating to loose because “I can not be everywhere at the same time”.
And sometime it’s just a free win game where you can chill in a plane and tank and just relax.
With Normandy Axis I most of the time has to do less stuff, not because people are more smart or experience but because it’s more easy to defend than to attack if you are new to the game.

Actually, the map is the problem. If it looked anything remotely resembling the actual terrain, then just like in history, all abstraction aspects included, it would take the Allies a very short time to get off the Beach, particularly when you consider the early to mid range armour advantage enjoyed by the allied team.
As it stands the map should be renamed to “Where Eagles Dare” and have some ski gondolas installed so you can have a cool ride from the beach up to the Chateau at 10000 ft overlooking the cliffs.
well trick to playing tanks later in the game is to clear trees. it is not that allies have advantage, it is that germans cant see cause of trees
