Normandy - How to get more EXP in low level?

I don’t know if you’ve experienced this, but it’s annoying.

I’m playing Normandy, level 9, Axis. I don’t have any good weapons or automatics yet. I’m playing against fully equipped players with better weapons.

Okay. The problem is that at the start of the game, the few real players take tanks and planes. What do they do? They farm. So I, the remaining real player, have to capture or defend against more equipped real players.

What happens is inevitable. The game ends in less than 10 minutes with a lost. The tank and plane players get a lot of XP. And me, the only one to capture or defend, gets no XP at all.

Have you noticed that? Or will this change when you level up?

Mp 40 should be near and get some g43. Also, play events, and get cool weapons. Normandy gets cool guns like the mp41r. I get a lot of xp from lanchester 50

You should use the BF-110. As a US main in Normandy I can say that its rockets are devastating if used against infantry. Its heavy cannon can also work against some US tanks, but it is not the best fighter.

MP-40 is a really good assault smg that you unlock quite early, US don’t have decent smg until lvl 20+, so use it as an advantage. The flamethrower at level 6 is a very potent weapon to clear a point. Finally the G43 is at level 7, you should use it as much as possible. When I was grinding the campaign for US (which I finished just three days ago) I was relying on the Garand as much as possible during the first 25 level as it was really good, the G43 should perform similarly.

At level 10 you will have Pz III N. It is not great against other tanks but will work well against infantry.

The sturmpistol is probably the worst AT weapon in Normandy, but it should still be able to kill any tank from the side, even jumbo if aimed at the lower side.

Also build as much Rally points as possible !!!

Hope you can use this advices to grind through the Normandy hell. Good luck !

The starting tanks aren’t bad, i would make most my XP with those, you just have to focus on infantry support and retreat once enemy armor gets close.

Also Stuart with 50 cal is amazing, high mobility +increadibly strong infantry shredder.

As a low level Germany axis, mp40s and g43s are going to be your best friends.
While keeping some k98s for long ranges is not a bad ideas.

Regarding explosives, get your self tnts or explosives.
Not many tanks survives from explosives if chucked in the engine deck or side below the truck. And no tanks survive from tnts.

When it comes to vehicle, since in Normandy it’s pretty far, either use the bf 110 or keep the puma. ( though, you have to fully upgrade it ) it’s not a bad “”tank”” as it can penetrate all Allie’s vehicle from the flanks, but it doesn’t have a lot of resistance. So. You’ll always need to work fast and find a way to flank. Not really duable in d-day but 70 % of the map it is.

And, good luck before reaching mg 34s, 42s, fgs, stgs panthers and tigers.

Honestly, if you invest in those first gun, you can carry them until the end of time and still be somewhat efficient.

Other suggestions that I can give are, play with boosters, and don’t burn your self.
Additionally, I suggest you to grind type 1 squads to not decrease your efficiency once you’ll get weapons that you want and need from the get to. And if you then are bothered with ,upgrade those squads that comes with.

Although, right now I. Would just focus on setting your squads with at least your soldiers with 4to 5 stars and fully upgraded weapons. ( so that your bots will be more efficient and more reactive )

It’s all about upgrading fully your guns. That way, you will kill people more efficiently and easier.

Then, make your way to get engineers on every squad.

Edit. I played normandy last month and won 7 games out of 10 as Allies. which means, it can be thought for axis.
So… play with some friends or random groups in the discord to increase your chances of winning and getting more xps.

At L10 you get a short barrel 75mm PZ3 that carried me many levels of carnage. Slaughter infantry at the point for best results XP grinding. Other posts commented on guns to use

Play objective and kill as much enemy as you can while you are staying in the cap

Vehicles are farming tools but they don’t win games if no one watch the cap or build rallies

As axis, you will often be on defense. While the game definitely needs more mechanics that help out the defenders, here is what I suggest in the meantime:

Engineer squad is your best friend.

Learn good defensive fortification tactics. It won’t outright win the game for you, but it could make the efficiency of your team high enough to pull off some wins.

Sandbag the front of the objective, while leaving a sandbag wall below it on the floor so players can still shoot out, but enemies can’t shoot in as effectively. (Leave an ammo box next to it and players will use it like crazy!!)

Normandy is good for deep trench depths. If you put increased melee swing speed on your engineers, you can dig them much quicker. These trenches can be used for a wide variety of things both offense and defense.

Trenches with wire in them (dig 2 wide, 5 long/ barbwire) are very effective for forcing enemies into choke points, and stopping the advance across the open.

Foxholes for your teammates to take cover in (about 5x5 - 7x7) are quite effective for both offense and defense. Additionally, you can put these in areas where you have a clear vantage point on it from like a second floor window, meaning enemies that take cover in it are easy for you to kill!

Trenches can be an effective way to move troops across otherwise very vulnerable ground. Dig 2-3 wide in a path from your rally point (which I would also advise being in the trench), toward the objective. Just make sure it CURVES toward the objective and isn’t a straight path, or a MG may be waiting at the other end.

AA and AT field guns in a overwatch position can be quite effective!
Planes giving your team grief? Shoot them down.
Tanks sitting back pelting your team? Field guns (especially if they are on a hill or rooftop), can often punch through weakpoints and kill tanks, even from very long ranges.
Infantry swarming? HE on that field gun can be devastating! Not only that but you can often put it in a position a tank couldn’t access (rooftops or hills), and make maximum use out of them. if your AI jumps on with you, it reloads faster too, making it a very effective direct fire support tool.

Unbelievable. For once a thread with serious answers instead of trolls and angry kids, thanks all.

I’ve read a lot of tips here that I’d never thought of before. And how it completely changes the fun of the game. I’m going to try all these tips that proved to be very valuable.

Again, thanks all!

I just recently played the German Army in Normandy. There are several ways to improve your experience when upgrading:

  1. G43 can be used as the main rifle until you obtain FG42-2 (sniper type) and upgrade your sniper team at the same time
  2. If you have participated in activities before, the MP40 silencer type (squad) is a very good choice.
  3. Participate in more air battles, and the experience rewards for shooting down aircraft are very considerable.
  4. Use gold cards to exchange for 4 Condes machine guns.

In fact, as long as you own the FG42-2 (I remember it was at level 18) and remove its sight, it will be a light weapon that can crush the Allies.
Skill selection +15% sprint speed, +100% stamina and -40% vertical recoil.
You can quickly reach the flank and cause huge damage to the enemy.
