Get the 5 star troopers with Bolt Action Rate of Fire. Put some Kar98K’s in their hands and watch them wreck it.
I’ve actually been converting troopers from the FG 42 back to BA. And the ones that do get Horizontal dispersion reduction get the Gewehr 43.

Poor August, he only gets a Mannlicher?
Use a Mannlicher with the 12% bolt action ROF. Its basically a Semi-Auto at that phase.
Don’t diss the manlicker
I mean, I’d take an FG 42 versus a Mannlicher. 20 > 5 and the damage is right there too. Nevermind the full-auto if you need it.
In close quarter situations I agree, but at Range, the Mannlicher in Normandy is godly.
I actually have one complete squad with Maxed Guns + 12% ROF. When they are on the field, watch the kill feed
Meh, I prefer to simp for the Kar 98k, even if it isn’t that good of a rifle.
