I have redesigned campaign levels of Normandy and Tunisia. This post is about the Normandy Axis. These are the rules I applied when designing this:
1.This tech tree only considers infantry weapons. There are no vehicles
-
The number of squads is the same for both sides. However, the number of weapons that each squad uses can be different for historical accuracy.
-
Aimed to keep asymmetrical balance.
-
Minimized the number of squads to simplify the tech tree(except Engineer II, which has significant improvement(mg nest) over Engineer I)
This tech tree has two starting lines(Italian, German), which have their own starting weapons. These two lines meet when the Sniper II squad is unlocked.
For this tech tree:
-
Axis force excel in long range combat
-
FG-42 II for snipers, FG-42 for gunners

why on earth do you want G-43 that early then an Mas36 straight after ^^ just saying that ppl would never touch the Mas then.
I think that even now in Normandy they are to close to each other in the campaign progression and that both G-43 asw as Garand should be moved a little more down the line.
Also youre not mentioning the M2 here since you moved the FG42 to the end ^^ So should the allies have M2s way earlier then the Germans got their FG42 ?

My bad. Mas-36 should have come before the G-43.
Moving the semi-autos down the line is fine with me.
I didnāt mention the M2 carbine as this post is about Normandy Axis.
Looking back, I think I messed this up⦠I have nothing to say about your critics. Iāll try to make a more logical tech tree when uploading this type of suggestion. Thank you for your opinion.
Np and thought so to ^^ But who knows you might have found something in Mas-36 that i havent
Though would it matters? M2 is pretty rare.
Not as rare as FG42 isā¦Ive picked up quite some on the battlefield so far as ive done with FGs
No, I got rid of all MAS-36s, except the four-star one I got from bronze random weapons.
I considered throwing that away as well, but decided to keep it.
I like it for close to mid range engagements asw but i rather go for the Semi Auto if i can
I do like how you made the FG42 ārarerā than the stg44. That is more realistic. I do think that the only thing that the devs would do is limit FGs to the engineer class. I honestly donāt think that the FG42s are that much of a problem.
