Am i the only one bothered that Americans only have LMG’s? I love the BAR, but with only 20 round mags it feels ineffective at laying cover fire compared to the MG34 or MG42 that the axis have. I would like to see the Americans be given something like the M1919 Browning. I feel it would be a better match to the MG42 than the second BAR. Thoughts? Opinions?

Yes especially since there has always been a historical one they could use. The 1919A6 was designed specifically for that roll but it will probably be at some ungodly high level like the Thompson and bazooka

I agreed that add a real LMG would be good but I love BAR, pls don’t replace it. It’s better for attacker, atleast I think so.
Idk. After like three BAR-versions I wouldnt mind some diversity.
In my experience BAR is more effective than MG 42 because it has much less horizantal recoil and bullet random spread. So it’s more accurate than MG and better in longer distance fightings but for close combat MG has superiority because of better fire rate and bigger ammo magazine.

With mode of single shots it can be more accurate I think.
Not saying replace it. Im saying put in a different style of MG as a side grade

Yeah, that way you will have no enemies to fight.
I wonder if the axis will get a belt fed machine gun with normal recoil?
50 rounds on a machine gun that flies into the sky after 1 bullet is ridiculously low.
BAR is much better for active gameplay (which is preferred in the game)

The MG34s are better as real machine guns that need to be deployed. I wish they would add the ZB26 to Normandy for more of a BAR equivalent.

Use bipod. MG34 was a laser before the dispersion nerf.

No, I have to storm the point because the team doesn’t win when I’m lying on my belly. Also, fix the bipods first.
80% of the time you won’t be able to put them in when you need them.
The BAR shoots much better without bipods.

Sounds like you should be using MP43s/MP40s and not MG34s or MG42s then
Why can’t I have a machine gun similar to the BAR? If the allies want an MG, I want a bar analog, isn’t that fair? Accurate, mobile with low dispersion.

Yes I agree it should be a different gun entirely and not the MG34. ZB26 with a 20 round magazine would be the best choice but buffing the belt fed MG34s so you can rambo it isnt what anyone wants in this game save for the CSGO crowd
Of course, then the m1919 should get all the disadvantages of a heavy machine gun and a belt of not 100 rounds.
By the way, there is still a bug (I’m sure it is), in that the recoil lying down with the machine gun is equal to the recoil sitting down. I do not understand why. It kills the MG42.
And no, a machine gun shouldn’t have that kind of spread at 7 meters, even if I’m moving. That’s stupid.
You can see the absurdity of the spread even better if you walk straight at the target.
I mean every gun is very inaccurate in this game. Most rifles produce 6-8 MOA groups at 100 vs 2-4 in real life. And actually yes an MG will walk off target pretty quickly if you aren’t properly positioned or leaning into the bipod. I know, I machine gun qual every year and see alot of people fail it.
I am frustrated with the nerf machine gun. I am increasingly using MP43s and MP35s because the game pushes me to play aggressively.

Because everyone was using machine guns as assault squads. MP43s are amazing and there is no allied equivalent to that. The Panther is amazing. Panzerfaust can knock out most allied tanks easily. The Axis is in a very good spot right now
Because the game forces it. The point is captured for 30 seconds and I can’t ignore it. There’s no point in lying in the bushes.
