Normal BRs

I’m not trying to look like he game has to be 100% equal, there has to be some minuses and pluses in each nation, in each weapon, tank plane and whatever, but flipping hell, how on earth do this BRs work? Why me, with poorly working rifles getting enemies with best automatic rifles, best tanks planes on BR IV? I do realise that its acceptable of 2-5 players in the IV br game to be with best guns, best tanks and other stuff, but when im the only one playing on 1-3 ranked guns against best guns of ussr usa, i dont have a single chance of having a good game without killed brain cells and lost mood. Just let me make this statement clear, as i said, im not standing for full equalising of everyone so that IV rank must play again IV ranks only, however it doesnt mean that III-IV has to be playing against VI ranks, just doesnt make any sence, cause its really really hard to get someone with automatic rifle killed by Kar98K. And yes i can buy Gewehr 43 or whatever but its still ridiculously hard to kill one. So maybe its time to sort rankings with more sence and more respect to lower ranked players.

Most of the time, I only use level 2 and level 3 automatic weapons and level 3 anti-tank rocket barrels to be active in all rooms.
I don’t think level 4 equipment will be difficult.

The only thing you have to do is put down the rifle or leave those bad teammates
Then join the embrace of automatic weapons

Hi, welcome to the community!

It pays to upgrade your basic rifles, such as the Kar98k in your case, to 3-stars. they’re super cheap to upgrade (600 silver to max one out), and it makes a notable difference to their efficiency. Also pay attention to your soldiers’ perks, as you can speed up the bolt-action rate via them.

Ultimately, it just takes practice and patience. You’ll be popping heads for fun before long!

bro i do realise that kar98k may not be the worst weapon, but lets be honest to each other, even if im pro shooter and have perfect aim it will be still reallyyyyy hard to get killed ussr guy with Fedorov assault rifle. Even if i will be lucky my whole squad will get smoked by just one guy with Fedorov assault rifle. Thats what leeds BR to stay one, BR has to give some challenge but not just sitting in your squad choosing menu for entire game and wait till one respawns.

brother, i barely have something 4 ranked, i have IV rankings only coz of enginnering squad and plane, everything else is literally II-III, thats the problem, I try to research em but i get to spend tens of hours just to get one because basically 40% of game im sitting in squad choosing menu, its just really hard to get people killed when their weapon fires 1200 bulets a minute and urs max of 200, massive difference

You definitely need to drop the BRIV squads from your platoon, and stick to BRI-II until you can equip your entire platoon with similar level squads. No wonder you’re getting kerb-stomped if you’re rocking only one BRIV infantry squad. You’re simply getting up-tiered to higher BR levels because of it.

Why are you bringing BR I-II bolt actions into BR IV?

i got my mistake

In addition to what I advised earlier, remember that even just one weapon at say, BRIV, in any of your squads will up-tier you, so ensure you don’t have a sneaky one in one of your squads. I’ve made that mistake before.

Yeah dude keep it all even. Move up in BR once you have full set ups, and don’t move into BR III till you are absolutely ready for the sweat fest of High Tier

the highest BR of your weapon in your active squad count!
main matchmaking is the following: BR I-III and BR III-V

however there is a softrule, that means if enough players are available then you have the following MM: BR I-BR II, BR II-III, BR III-IV, BR IV-V

So that means that you have one BR III weapon or higher in your squad and that is why you play against the highest BR. Check your squads and remove or exchange the high BR weapon

Then you should give up level 4 equipment and stay at level 2
Or to make your equipment more versatile
Instead of complaining here that you used level 1 to 2 equipment and were massacred by enemies in an unfamiliar level 4 environment.

The most important point
Spare your teammates

When there are a lot of players behaving like this
Friendly units that work hard and are well equipped will be poisoned by this group
They will lose their normal gaming experience and chance to win

If AI would be much stronger, the full auto meta wouldn’t be all that impactful, because the one thing that makes SMGs and assault rifles meta is their ability to wipe squads fast.

I think squad formations should also get an overhaul, the squads should have the ability to spread out much further.

Also little off topic tip.

You should consider changing your profile name before getting banned.

Here is my non scientific grumpy old man advice.…That I follow myself.

If most of your weapons are bolt action rifles and low level smg’s, then just play at the level’s that your weapons can compete. This uptier thing the DEV’s use sucks, especially for new lower level players. I never move up a level until I have the vast majority of weapons needed to compete in the next level, since in all honesty, DF is going to boot you up another level anyway so your likely still outgunned, but at least your closer. So, if your not prepared weapon wise to battle in level 3-5, then get your squads all squared away with level 2 weapons, and start stockpiling your level 3 weapons for the time when you can supply all your squads with level 3 weapons. Of course, with the crappy match making, your still running the chance of getting booted up to a level 5 match, but DF doesn’t seem to care, so it is what it is.

If I am using mostly bolt action, I would try and use all level one weapons and stay in that level 1-2 BR bracket. If money is not an objective, you can buy some premium level one or two smg squads and be instantly competitive in level 1-2 or 1-3 if they are level 2 smg squads. I have two level 1 US premium smg squads you can buy off the tech tree, and an all level 1 medic squad I got level one grease guns to use. So, I have three level 1 smg squads I can use and bipass the bolt actions. The bolt action squad I have at level one is a sniper squad. So, you can be competitive to a degree even climbing through the tech tree, but don’t supply your squads with next level weapons until you have enough next level weapons to make up the difference. Always remember with this crappy match making, your not building your squads to play other squads who have equal weapons, DF’s “Soft rule” is almost always going to drop you into a match with higher level weapons. Hopefully this wasn’t a bunch of useless mumbo jumbo.

It would be better if BR2 could try to compete with BR4 than if BR1 must fight BR3.

BR1 suffers the most from the up-tiering, while BR5 only benefits from it - or in other words, veterans benefit from this system, while new players get screwed the most.

I am more and more in favour to a ± 0 BR system, even if that means we would get stuck with only two BRs - early war and late war.

This being said, the recent progression changes make it veeeery easy to get a good amount of base Tier gear.

Maybe this isn’t all that much of an issue anymore.

I to am also in favor of a 0 BR system, even if we have some bots as team mates, since usually several desert anyway, so I see no difference as you end up with bots on your team anyway. However it would be nice if everyone you were fighting were on the same level with weapons. I loved my BR3 US squad, but if I play and get shoved into a BR5 match my M1 Garands are no where near up to specs to handle everyone else’s fully auto semi auto’s. I personally don’t buy the “we don’t have enough players” excuse DF puts out. If they are struggling to get players now, they aren’t ever going to get them, and starting new players off right away getting their asses kicked with level 1 crap weapons will just keep them from sticking around.
