Becuase I finished and fully equipped the other three factions I decide to open the japanese faction and then I found why there are no new players(at least why the friends I invited left this game).
So now I am in 8/9 of tier1. With tier2 event para and left the tier3 flame bomb plane not used. The overall is tier2 and I encounter tier3 american every game with sniper garand and sherman tank. And yea you can’t even buy explosive pack at my stage.
Maybe this is fine for those who is in higher tiers but For me if I ak a new player and I found such shitty match making and how much grinding I need in the game I will probably left. I mean the game should be either easy playing by ez kills on ai but hard progression or hard battle but ez progression and now the game is hard battle with hard progression.
The new player experience is in a pretty rough spot at the moment, which is one of the reasons people are concerned about the upcoming Steam launch being squandered.
My only recommendation is to squad up with people who can help ensure victory bonuses while you’re grinding. Your games will be easier, less stressful, and that +50% victory xp is great for grinding.
I tried. But my friends give up after they played this game. And the teammates I found in the game wont play low tier japanese

I remember back when I was getting some of my buds into the game I’d grind one or two of their campaigns to level 8~, get them the first semi-auto. They’d just quit when they saw they only had Bolt Actions and were going up against assault rifles.
You said the secret part out loud Japan is supposed to be winning and we’re meant to ignore what’s happening in low BR.
Supposed to be winning? Try high tier americans. 99,9% of the games are lost to Japanese. Your SMG kills from 150m which makes perfect sense. If you dominated low tier also then it would just make sense to remove the pathetic US from the game alltogether. I believe low tier losses are because of the horrible match making formula DF uses…they say it works but really not. New players will not stick around for long…the amouny of inbalance in the game is massive and newer players will be scared away because getting fked match after match really is not worth wasting up to 30m of your life on.

This question has been raised many times before by many people.
But someone will come out and tell you with illogical answers because you are too weak.
When I played the low BR Japanese Army some time ago, I found that almost every game my teammates would leave the game and switch to BOT, making it almost impossible to play the game.
The solution I tried for a long time was to switch to playing the US military with a low BR.
This way my teammates won’t leave the game.
Because the US military with high BR almost lost all the battles with the Japanese army,
I don’t believe that anyone would deliberately use BR3 to fight BR4 and 5 Japanese troops.
But when I played the Japanese army with low BR, I encountered many BR3 US troops.
There should be many players leaving the game instead and trying to use BR3 to fight low BR.
This is very disappointing for new players. I have raised this issue before.
But many players came out and told me that there is no difference between PPSH-41 and PPS-2 and 3.
There is no difference between KV-1 and Puma.
I even went to see these players’ RPs to learn what they said.
As a result I saw a push of poop.
They play like shit.
Many players have already reacted to the issue of BR3 and leaving the game.
Before you can freely choose maps and the BR system is modified,
The dilemma you pose is an almost inevitable nightmare for new players.
every new player ( me included) experiences the same thing.
Going to a faction, you have 3 squads of 4 guys, basic bolt action, basic sniper, and that’s it.
Then you face people with heavy machineguns, strong tanks, mines.
Then you realize BR3 have a 50% chance of dropping into your matches.
Everyone asks for the same thing, fix BR, fix IA, fix silver income, balance factions.
Once this is done, bring tons of people into the game, and implement elo system so new players won’t face veterans on the same map.
ATM I’m grinding USA ( yeah I’m stupid I know), but past br2, if I want to grind USA a bit further, I would unlock everything up to BR5 without playing it, because being BR3 would be a nighmare.
Flip a coin and either crush noobs who can’t destroy your tanks, or get crushed by BR5 fully maxxed squads.
The fixes are simple, make sense, and the global population will only go down if the game creators don’t do anything.
Recently I’ve been top 1 on my games, but I’m a noob, playing br2 with non upgraded basic springfields, not playing any vehicle. Either I’m really good ( I’m not ) or I’m playing alone.
This paying open beta ( like the game was not in open beta for 3 years) steam stuff won’t bring enough people.
I just hope DF will finally listen to new players feedback, because they want ( I guess ) more new players, and those feedbacks should be golden as we take so much time to give it.
But instead, we have a really expensive game which is not finished, followed by a paying beta on steam ( seriously, who would pay to be allowed to play a beta game?).
let’s see in the future weeks how the steam open paying beta goes, I’ll keep unlocking BR2 stuff.
But if there is no answer to this kind of message, just to say " we heard you and we are taking your experience into our developpement plans", and the only stuff we get is more paying things but shit silver income and shit matchmaking… This game will die fast.
So far the only answer I saw ( and I know I didn’t read all the forum) is that people complaining about those points are the loud minority, and we basically should just stfu because they know best.
How hard would it be to fix numbers, fix matchmaking, and me and my poor 45% win rate would face only 45% win rate people, and BR1 facing only BR1, BR2 vs BR2 etc.
Or just tell us straight ahead which faction is supposed to win, so we can stack up to play 10 humans vs 10 bots who are supposed to lose…
Which brings back the fix the damn bots issue btw.
Anyway, my friends don’t want to play a broken beta ( they just took a few minutes on youtube to see if it was worth their time), and I’m starting to wonder if they were just smarter than me.
I got in with shiny promises, but now I see the forum, I feel like I’m wasting my time.
There are many free to play games out there, and many paying finished games.
Enlisted has a lot to promise, just fill the promises and players willing to play for free will come, and amongst them many will pay for battlepasses, premium etc.
Looks like it’s not the target of DF. Looks like they keep in players who played for 3 years, paid for it, and because they paid for it they stay on it hoping it will become better.
It’s a shame. would love to support a game who makes the game a fun environment, not a 100€ a month to get enough silver to keep playing…
