Very disappointing that the new PFPs won’t even be an option. Would have been an excellent opportunity to dabble with censorship options for Enlisted to offer greater variety to countries and regions that don’t have strict rules on what can be depicted in game.
Weird thing is that War Thunder has Axis pilots and tankers available as portraits

While I do think it’s ridiculous, it’s the fault of the countries with silly censorship laws, not really the devs
No country in europe care about a swastika or a Rommel face in a videogame, even germany and Austria allow it
So is developers fault, always they say some country but wen you ask the name of those country 0 answer from them

Since August 2018 it’s allowed in Germany, yet i have seen no single game that did show it.
Wolfestein new order/colossus patched the german version for show it, cod do the same, other small game idk

Steel Division 2 also uses swastikas on it`s Nazi flags and has Waffen SS units. Funny thing is that the Red army units also get unique flags meanwhile Enlisted only uses interchangable templates for it´s Soviet divisions.
The upcoming Company of Heroes 3 will also have Afrika Korps Waffen SS squads with the SS runes on their helmets.
Sure both are strategy games but is there really a meaningful difference between telling your little nazi men to kill GIs compared to if you do it yourself?

Well. Apart from what Scav said, its not really the goverment who suffers there but some poor plebs. As usual.
Maybe it didnt pass some test and Darkflow doesnt want/doesnt feel the need/cant spare the time to actually go and argue about it. HOI4 famously doesnt have Hitler as the leader of Germany in the German versions of the game, so I don’t doubt this is an issue that sometimes pops up. Its not that big of a deal, theres a lot more important things to be worried about in Enlisted than the fact your profile picture cant be Rommel.

you can download a mod for add him and the swastika, paradox dont stop you for use an uncensored game

They said it didnt pass a censorship test so they didnt include them. Thats how it works, it’s not that complicated. Theres so many bigger issues with the game than the fact you can’t have a Nazi as your profile picture
