Rigachin lost his mother at the age of 2 and his father at the age of 15. At his young age he worked as a shoemaker, before being drafted in the army in 1938.

After his unit was surrounded by germans, he was taken to a german concentration camp. After being tortured, he managed to escape the camp and sneak back to the soviet frontline without being found by german search squads.

1944 he got sent to the elite guards scouts regiment for his ability to sneak undetected through enemy lines.
There, he fought through entire of ukraine, poland and romania.

In 1945, his unit encountered german troops in Kreutzburg, having to deal with heavy fights. He died the most heroic way a soldier can die, while protecting his comrades. A german soldier threw a grenade into a small room, in which 25 year young Rigachin and his unit were hiding in and Rigachin decided to throw his own body over the grenade. Because of his heroic sacrifice, the other soldiers of his unit managed to escape the fight and survive. He earned the highest of all rewards, he became hero of the soviet union.

Thank you for Sharing! I know the devs say the warriors are not based on real heroes, probably for legal reasons. But really, I think it is great they highlight and bring attention to the heroic actions of these individuals

Also, Sergei. What Eastern Front campaign would you like to see next? Not sure if you have heard of it, but many months ago apparently there was a campaign in the files called, “White Sea”, which sounds extremely interesting but has since disappeared.

German and soviet gunboats, Leningrad, Finnish forces… Would be excellent historical gaming!

I think first we get an update for stalingrad since there is a snowy factory map in the files somewhere. But for the next campaign, i would say the finnish/soviet war would be the next. It is unique since it would include more snow than in the moscow campaign, finnish forces and finnish guns would also be unique. There are files for finnish guns already. Many different versions of the suomi kp and the lahti saloranta mg.

Which campaign i would also like would be leningrad though

Do you know of amphibious vehicles used in this area by the Soviets and Germans? I am starting to compile a list of at least 30 campaign levels for the Red Army and Axis. My goal is to have at least 10 unique unlocks per side that would theoretically cause less complaining from the community. Keep up the good work, comrade!

Ah ok, apologies! Wow I was thinking it was connected directly to the Baltic sea, forgive my lack of Geographical awareness lol. Still the White sea theatre and Operation Silver Fox would surely provide some good levels between gun boat, amphibious, ski troops and Finnish tanks?

No Finnish army, they haven’t here border.
But Germany try conquer murmansk by going through Norway.
It’s one of places, where Germany blitzkrieg fully failed.
