Oh boy this statement returned been almost a year since it was called op , so no it’s not OP it’s good weapon love using that thing but you would unironically be better with the pps or the ppsh
It’s actually kind of an op, since it allows you to start a campaign with an already-ready squad of 4 crazy bastards with a 6-star gun (a cool one at that).
Exactly the same squad in tunisia that helped me in the early days until level 15-20

Yet the pps-42 has more ammo per magazine with slightly less rpm and that starting squad is more survival and more is useful since you can put other soldiers in It such as an engineer
Sure, but the PPk as a whole is a very good weapon. Almost zero recoil, high rate of fire, and increased damage due to full stars.
The 1 star pps is worse than the full star ppk, that’s what matters. I’m not saying it’s the best squad in the game, just that it makes starting out extremely easy by giving you a full auto squad, albeit a small one.
I think the Axis deserves a similar squad at least somewhere too (logically think Normandy)
You mean like the pps series? Yeah people called that op as well ages ago. As a bonus the pps42 is very cheap to upgrade same with the pps43.
I actually agree with this, with my ideal event squad being the mas-38
I’m talking about the gift ppk. There’s a 17\8 kickback, which is literally one of the lowest values in the game
I’m very distracted by the scope, I’m a big kar98k fan. It feels like the best rifle. Only smle is better because of the 10 rounds and the different animation of the bolt in the sight

I was talking about the French smg mas-38 which doesn’t have a scope because that would be weird
Actually those perks you listed are pretty useless compared to a 4 Medipacks using horizontal reduction, 200% healing speed, and 75% healing speed
I ran for the first time a Soviet full-SMG lineup (event squad + 2 assaulters squads) in Berlin for the SMG kills task a few days ago
A) It was fun as phuck
B) Poor Germans got minced to hell and back

I play more offensiv, so the Possibility to use Reload Speed+One of the 2 Recoil Reductions is for me OP+dont forget Vitality.
Its 1 of my Fav Squads in Berlin.
BTW i like to play Soviets Berlin, and Moscow. Awesome Guns.
But its a simple Victory Rush
I know, 4 med kits can the healing perks means you can go from being down to full hp with only 1 Med kits, while horizontal would be better since it’s not something you can easily account for unlike vertical
I have three full Soviet assaulter squads in Moscow and Berlin all assaulters have PPSh with drum mag where I can spam them as much as I want to depending on the situation where at times I use a different squad like an MG, engineer, sniper or a tank.
Sure I have 3 full STG squads in Normandy but PPSh is still my favorite.
That weapon is barely average and the squad is just awful (no engineer). The only thing worse than the squad itself was the timing for when it was added. So early into campaign’s life an extra full auto squad made the game completely one-sided. Another shortsighted decision in a long (and almost uninterrupted) string of shortsighted decisions from this developer.

one of my favorite squads to this day
I find their optics very cool, and like the gun too. Fun should be the priority and that’s definitely what this squad does for me
What we need is an event with another BAR squad for Normandy, having only 5 tipes of it is quite embarrassing.
