Why?:
could be used for variety of roles, such as;

  • Ammo refiller: as right now, we lack of ammonution points.
    we understand that it’s important to balance the game preventing from snipers to keep camping with all ammo they want. but during frontlines, assaults or defencive operations, it’s important to keep alive the soldiers and most of all, refill them when needed without spending careless squads just because you ran out of ammo, dead bodies dissapear quite quickly along side with the weapons. and keep up the momentum of the fight.

  • Anti personell purpose
    one mg42 or mg34, dp23 / dp 28 mounted on the top, autocannonons, you know they drill. everything that provides great firepower to pounder enemy positions and also usefull for great mobile defence providing supportive fire. allowing new strats.

  • Anti Air purpose
    yes, the enginners can deal with planes, that is truee, but the flak position cannot move.

  • Anti Tank Purpose
    i don’t thinks those versions are needed since the game has tanks, but yeah, those could also be used.

  • spawn point ( optional )

  • fast mobility that could depend from terrain, protect against small arm fire, and some of these vehicle, can be killed with grenades.

those vehicles could be actually a great addition.

what do you think about it?

I am sure that at some point we will get a driver or whatever kinda class with access to these kind of vehicles. hopefully we will get an increase to max vehicles per battle as well (3-4 tanks instead of 2, 2-3 planes instead of 1, etc)

yes, i like the idia of having halftracks and recon vehicles, but copying from war thunder all of them is a BIG NO

Almost all vehicles implemented in the game I imagine will come from war thunder, maybe with minor modifications, as those models are already available and require little to no work from the developers to implement into enlisted.

the half track from war thunder is actually and self propelled gun

It was deployed as a SPG, yes. But that doesnt make the chassis any less of an half track that can be used for troop transport. The model would probably be modified with MG34 mounts instead of the 37mm main gun.

err… initially i thought about halftrucks that can carry troops. but since it’s gonna take a whole new system to be implemented, i think logistics vehicles, and nomal weaponzied vehicles without carrying troops would be better. for the simple reasons that, you don’t wanna lose huge tickets if you ran into a real and proper tank. and generally, in real life, the troops were supposed to dismount from the halftruck, and engage on foot. this idea changed in the 1942/1943.

To be honest, both Russian and German logistics were quite often horse drawn. Even anti tank guns were horse drawn. Don’t know if that should be added to the game but would be historicaly accurate. I suggested tow behind anti tank guns be a possible add to the game. Hmmm…Russian cavalry was also used in WW2 for raids. Interesting concept and could be implemented in the game. Not sure if it would be a good idea, although I can’t think of any ww2 fps that have horses drawn weapons or cavalry. Maybe someone knows of one, but I don’t.

no horses at all would be better for many reason.

first of all, you don’t wanna shot horses.
not cool.

secondly, this game it’s not historically accurate for gameplay reasons. which i’m quite sure everyone apreciate and understand.

thirdly(?), almost no game managed to make properly horses in movements and model. and i don’t see why they should β€œlose” time and put effort in something that they never done before. when it’s not needed.

this is why i suggested hafltrucks. because, halftrucks has been already made in the other game that the dev uses the engine and assets. so it won’t be hard to copy the model and scale it for enlisted like they did for the BA-11, pz III, king tiger, IS-2 and many other vehicles.

I agree that horses would be difficult to model since they have different gaits…walk, trot, cantor or lope, and gallop. (I do own and ride a horse and they are not simple creatures). I don’t think horses should be added to the game. I agree, Half tracks, trucks, and jeeps for mobility. Thankis

Horses would be cool as some early war battles did involve cavalry. That being said they would have to have some talented animators to pull it off, its not impossible, as cavalry was in battlefield one, but it would be difficult.

β€œas cavalry was in battlefield 1” - I don’t think you should be comparing a AAA company with over 5.000 employees to what’s essentially an indie game development studio with most likely less than 100 employees.

I know, thats why i said itd be difficult, youd need some friggin talented modelers and animators if you wanted to go down that route. Its not impossible for inde devs to create AAA quality stuff (Post Scriptum and squad are really small teams who make really high quality stuff). But im not going to pretend its likely either.

the development time could much better be spent elsewhere

+1 if larger maps come, EC would be nice mode.

Its much less than 100 actually. Sub 50 I think, or at least it was a while ago.

The gaz-mm with the 25mm 72k would be more on par with the flak 36 with the 37mm
