We now have the tighter play area again - Tighter than ever. Overrunning defenders is easy as pizz when they’re all shoehorned into a tiny location surrounded by gray zone. Had some of those on Berlin.
Additionally, planes are overperforming. Consistently getting #1 spot with like 15 kills just by farming vehicles all game and barely dying. Frustrating, counterplay extremely limited. AA guns are restricted to engineering squads, and no other counter exists besides more planes. It’s rock-paper-scissor-bomb (bomb always wins). And now we’re gonna get effectively double bombs on most planes? Horrible idea, even though the pilots obviously love it.
Explosion spam is off the charts. You’re dazed more than 50% of the time if you’re trying to defend or capture a point. Planes only add to this, not only with their own bombs, but because air superiority is necessary to use tanks effectively. Players are incentivized to stay the hell away from objectives. Guess I’m on a break again.
Suggestion: Give regular engineers access to building AA guns. Reduce the suppressive effect of explosives. Increase map size.
Gaijin and DF are in love with planes they are plane fanatics so in every game made by them must have overpowered CAS just look at War Thunder it’s a plane and heli paradise while ground is just an afterthought.
Their plan is to turn Enlisted into same hellhole - Soviets just received Tu-25 with 6x 250kg bombs, Americans have their rocket spammers and Germany and Japan will probably get something better with Germany getting super fast jets.
My SPAA vehicles are waiting in garage for better days where i would be able to spawn them without taking tank slots and shoot at the planes without overheating.
Yes, I’m a shining example of someone who plays primarily aircraft. That’s definitely my main focus, lol.
Anyway, I’d say I’ve just found a decent despot.
If you don’t like action fast paced gameplay, go play other games. And don’t try changing and trashing something that many people like and enjoy.
I quite like the new map
The map is large and ensures the ability to attack and intercept from the side
Most houses can be entered and ambushed
Any player who is not an idiot knows that when defending, he should spread out around the capture point and look for bunkers to defend instead of hiding inside and waiting to die.
The threat from aircraft and explosives comes from the IQ of the victim infantry
Intensive operations in open areas = stupidity
Going straight to the capture point without using the terrain = suicidal infantry = idiots

The enemy is never obligated to adapt to the idiot’s skills and intelligence.
Even if the official does not separate idiots from normal people, it is not an excuse for some people to twist their incompetence and selfishness into the OP of maps, mechanisms and equipment.
That’s why I always find it ridiculous that groups are having mental breakdowns over suicide wheels and explosives and campers and D-Day.

And as for your other point. Making the maps bigger wouldn’t accomplish much.
Because the principle of the game would still be to simply build a rally point 50 meters from the objective and then fight over it.
Making the objectives bigger instead would be much more reasonable.

Literally every pilot with high level plane unlocks performs the same. If team doesn’t have engi for AA or their own pilots, you auto win at #1 spot because nobody can shoot you. It has nothing to do with your ability in the game.

I do. But it is not a counter. High tier planes often tank whole magazines without going down and effortlessly strafe the AA gun. It puts me at 50/50 instead of helpless. If AA hits first, it works sometimes. If plane hits first, AA and half his team on the ground is dead.

Fact: Infantry swarm on point wins. Even if they get farmed. That’s how you win. Not by being a worm coward KDA farmer on the outskirts. When you do this, your team wins in spite, not because of you. Your ancestors would be ashamed.

Literally pilots usually have the smallest impact on the outcome of the match. Since they don’t build rally points, they aren’t bodies on objectives.
And first place on the scorecard really doesn’t mean much. If those people are on a plane the whole game, they don’t have the opportunity to earn a large number of medals.
Plus scoreboard points ≠ exp income.
If you’re only playing with one squad the whole game, your exp income won’t really be that impressive.
