The new User Interface looks like they just decided to swap things from right-to-left and visa-versa just for the sake of making things look ‘new’, and changing the colour-scheme for the same pointless reason. It is now MORE fiddly to use, LESS clear, and LESS intuitive.
Did the people who designed this actually believe they were ‘improving’ anything, or was the motivation simply to create an illusion of newness by swapping things around ?
I honestly believe the team of developers of this game can’t possibly be the same team who created the original game. I see all these HUGE completely under-used maps with tons of detail (in the editor) and all the beautiful graphics and cool touches everywhere, and it seems like Gajiin fired the old team and brought in a new group of people who’s only job was to make profit & ignore problems/bugs.
I’ve seen people on these forums who brought up the issue of terrible AI YEARS ago - nothing whatsoever has been done to fix or even slightly improve the AI bots. It’s almost as if this game was originally designed as a multiplayer ‘Lone Fighter’ game, and someone else decided to add the whole ‘Squad’ thing just to make profit - which would explain why the AI programming is so obviously amateurish compared to the base game.
If we are to believe the developers are actually professionals, then they need to focus on FIXING REAL problems, rather than fiddling with things which don’t need changing, or ‘fixing’ things which are not directly related to the actual problem (ie the new progression system - which, instead of fixing match-making , instead changes things which will have no direct effect on the actual problem!).
Any serious developer would be prioritising fixing the really OBVIOUS major problems FIRST, with REAL solutions which directly relate to the problem.
btw - this is my 1st post on here which talks about issues with the game development, but the new UI was just the last straw when I saw how unprofessional it was.
