New UD M24 Squad at Normandy is wearing a helmet with USMC helmet cover.
But they aren’t even Marine Corps, and neither was that Camouflaged Helmet cover ever used in Europe.
So Those Helmets need to be replaced with ordinary ones or else.
The Bandoliers
Well those Pouch soldiers wearing is a pouch for M1 grand Ammunition and was used in Europe, so its historical to say. but since the soldiers are using the UD M42 with Box magazine, I rather suggest using Thompson Pouches instead of M1 Garand Bandoliers.
well it looks a bit off, but actually they wore some coats at Desert too. as long as I know mostly in Lybia regions. they wore those for protection from sand storms, and wide temperature range of the desert. Night of desert is very cold you know.
so sadly, even though it looks really off, it is much historical I must say.
Yeees- They are more Historically accurate and Authentic.
Funny to say, US ARMY never used Camouflage after that “Duck hunter” camo experimentally used shortly, because it caused soldiers with Camouflage to get shot by Allied, Camouflage made Allied soldiers confuse them with SS camouflages.
Its funny a day ago I was thinking to myself, I wonder when they’ll add the M42 because its such a unique gun, and then I see this morning that its being added
The people in the desert wear loose-fitting, long, heavy robes, and head wrappings. The loose-fitting cloth prevents sweat from evaporating quickly and allows the air to circulate, hence help the body to retain fluids. These clothes also protect people living in deserts from hot winds and dust storms. Wearing multiple layers of clothing will provide insulation for these people and protect them from the ambient heat. Even if their skin temperature may be higher than ours, it is not so hot that their core body temperature is raised by it, and they need to protect themselves from this issue. At the same time, all those layers of fabric absorb the perspiration from people’s bodies and wick it away from the skin. In order to evaporate, the water in this perspiration needs to absorb a large amount of heat. As it does, it cools the air trapped inside the multiple layers of fabric in the robe and creates an environment that is cooler than 37°C for the person wearing the robe
When it comes to UD M42, I would think of O.S.S. special operations officers and local resistance organizations working together fight against krauts, rather than a soldier in this kind of Marine Corps costume
