I would like to see more tanks that could take part in the Battle of Moscow
So i thought about an interesting way of implementing them
I thought about sidegrades on 0,5 level costing 50% xp of the current level so for example lvl.8 and lvl.8,5 is a sidegrade needing 50% xp of lvl.8
Here are my propositions
Note : You could choose what to level next for example : i got lvl.8 so i can choose either to go for lvl.8.5 first or straight for lvl.9
ALLIES:
Stock - T-60
lvl.8 - T-26
lvl.12 - BT-5 and BT-7 sidegrade
lvl.22 - T-28 and T-28E sidegrade
lvl.29 - T-50
Next tank 1 - T-34(1940) and T-34(1941) sidegrade
Next tank 2 - KV-1 (L-11) and KV-1E or KV-1 ZiS-5 sidegrade im not sure here
Axis :
Stock - pz.II C
lvl.8 - pz.III B and pz.II F sidegrade
lvl.12 - pz.III E
lvl.22 - pz.IV E and pz.IV F1 sidegrade
lvl.29 - pz.III F and pz.III J sidegrade
Next tank 1 - StuG III A (with AP and HEAT to counter the T-34)
Next tank 2 - pz.III J1 (with APCR to make it easier to kill the KV, especially the more armored sidegrade)
No long barrel pz.IV as it was made after Moscow (would be a good fit tho)
I play both axis and Soviet in Moscow. Yet everyone has the bad habit of saying they are on the worst side. When many times they just charge mindlessly in to a defended position and expect to win.
I checked not a long ago and it was as I said.
Germans had only little advantage in LMG at Moscow but after nerfs all lmgs are a bullet lottery. In rest areas Soviets have advantage.
I don’t like mindless whining and prefer numbers btw.
So both factions have bolt action rifles that perform roughly the same, both have semi autos and the Germans have a 1 hit kill mg that can be hip fired at close range and has long range advantage specially now that resting your gun on a surface has been improved, on the Soviet side the only thing that gets out of line is a high fire rate SMG with drum mags that has worse recoil than the German SMG and about the same trigger time, so it is better at almost point blank full auto fire yet its ammo consumption paired with the same ammo count as the German SMG makes it run out faster. Also the German SMG is better at medium range because of retaining damage over distance better than it’s Soviet counterpart. For the rest the soviets have the AVS vs the German stg which is a match up that favors the stg as the first assault rifle and the most advanced small fire arm of the war.
In tanks most German tanks are 5 crew tanks Pz 3 and the Pz 4 which have thicker armor and can’t be one shooted by a Soviet tanks, while most Soviet tanks are 3 crew man tanks which can easily be one shooted from almost every angle by a skilled tank user.
The only exceptions are the t28 and the t50. the t28 is also paper thin, yet it has many a larger crew and as such it takes multiple hits to kill like the panzer 3 and 4. the t50 is decent, and should be engaged from the sides, the same way a BT has to engage from the sides most panzer 3s and 4s if it pretends to win the engagement.
except soviet ba rifles has higher dmg at 10m / 100m.
So does soviets Dp27 does just fine.
And when did this happen ? Also one could wonder how come the slower rof SMG is magically a good thing on “long range” while the slower rof LMG is magically a bad thing at long range.
Yes the other one is OHK rifle and another aint.
So in nutshell if the gun is OHK as german variant its OP as fk, if gun has high rof as german variant is OP as fk, if gun has more ammo as german varian its OP as fk.
If the gun is OHK as soviet variant its bad. If gun has high rof as soviet variant is horrible
And if gun has more ammo as soviet variant is definitely a bad thing.
Same argument of the mp 40 vs posh, fire rate is the reason you think one gun is better
Both one hot kill at those distances, is kind of pointless to have more damage than one hit kill.
Is called stability, and higher damage, high fire rate mgs that are very controllable at long range simple beat bullet spray that is both inaccurate and has to hit multiple times to kill.
The AVS share a lot in terms of it’s functionality with the M14, it is an automatic rifle that has no business on been automatic, and the stg is one of the most controllable assault rifles you can get. Which is on its own amazing for the era. At the end of the day assaulting with a 30 round mag on a very controlable weapon that deals high damage is a very good thing.
