I will NOT give up on requesting motorcycle squads for ALL campaigns, but in this case I would like to talk about several possible options for the Japanese in Pacific to choose from: the Kurogane Type 95 with Nambu Type 11, the Rikuo Type 97 and another one that I saw one photo in which he had a shield and a machine gun that Engineer 2 has possibly based on the Harley model or maybe stolen to the soviets, I don’t remember well, so they cannot deny me the possibility of adding them, although I would add them sooner as happens in Tunisia
as much as i’m someone advocating for halftracks, and generally motorized vehilces,
i wouldn’t say no to:
i’m not sure the pacific is the right campaign for bikes.
heck, i’d argue it’s a nightmare for tanks already.
but… why not.
i’d say it would still be useful for mods so.
so i guess, yes to bikes.
although… not many will use them though. but that’s fine.
Hardly any campaign outside of Tunisia is suitable for bikes right now.
highly debatable
bikes were not designed to be transports.
but as a mobile mg, and it’s probably one of the best.
no recoil. no overheat, somewhat fast. heck i’d say those are actually one of the useful tools in tunisia.
can’t wait after the merge to use them anywhere.
my only gripes, is that those comes with no camo.
( and i miss the prem version with 3 men… )
i was broke when those came out though
maybe those will come back at some point ( i hope… )
I’ve always found my bikes to be too much of “shoot me” signs tbh.
The best use I personally found for premium ones, was sprinting to an advantageous flanking position and use the engineer to build a rally and an MG nest to shoot at enemy reinforcements route.
Whenever the situation made me resort to use the bike itself as MG nest, that invariably ended up being short-lived.
the trick with motorcycles is to be an annoying wasp, hit and retreat, I usually have an engineer who uses the machine gun and the pilot is an expert in demolitions to approach enemy tanks from behind, although you don’t usually survive long if you go without care, it is at least fun
So true
I disagree. Just because something may seem to not fit into the “meta” of a campaign doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be added. For example, I’d like to see bombers added to the Pacific. There should be no reason why not, they were obviously used during the war.
But I have literally seen players say they don’t want any bombers in the Pacific because it would ruin the “vibe” of the campaign. What kind of logic is that
Point is, I hope we get bikes in the Pacific at some point
i’d probably use them too despite not being meta.
i mean, you are talking to someone who grinded the entirety of the berlin campaign with the Historical accurate volkssturm ( even when ruskies used to dominate before the campaign shift ):
( from mg34, recently switched to mg 15 because it’s fun )
( older screenshot because i’m not really on my computer but i found one that i’m running with relatively recent )
more screenshots
( i’m just currently missing the stg 44 )
generally, i mostly go for historical loadouts. although going through berlin, was somewhat more though and watching that death screen more often because of some ppsh, but point is, i don’t really care about Meta ( outside stalingrad. i admit i might have gone wild with mkhbs. at least there i’m incentivized to win as i get double cards. and i’m running low )
but potentially, as stated before, i’ll be running with the german bike non stop.
USA one too.
it’s just, not ideal as the water slows vehicles instantly ( you can try that in the practice track. where you are doing 50s and then hit 5s at the first contact of water )
maps though, have too many rocks water and what not.
but it will shine in georgia and guardalcanal ( i think )
so i’m not opposed to it
heck, i’d like and want japanese halftracks too:
Yes, more bikes pls
