For the German side there are currently a great variety of appearances, however, they could still be increased and made more interesting. For example, in the battle of Normandy the assault squads make use of the characteristic field grey uniform, but there are hardly any variations such as the greenish pain straps, the shovels, the tents they carry on their backs or the backpack crossed on their side, but more things could be added to the belt to make the soldiers look more robust and intimidating, such as one or more stick grenades inside the belt (as in the image below), pistol holsters, etc. A field grey jacket with the sleeves rolled up could also be added.
Another example would be adding more ammo pouches (there is a variant for the leather-colored large ammo pouch that has 4 pouches, but for the black large ammo pouch only one pouch appears).
Additionally, they could add a variant of the grey field trousers that is fully tucked into the boots, just like the green trousers do (see image below), and add the possibility of purchasing a grey M43 Feldbluse jacket for assault squads in the Battle of Moscow, since the trousers exist but there is no jacket to match them.
Also, in the Battle of the Bulge and Stalingrad many assault squadrons were unable to wear field grey trousers, so it would be great if they made them available for purchase to increase the diversity of outfits.
Finally, although the appearance of the soldiers’ faces is already very varied since for a single type of character there can be multiple beards, scars, lacerations or bleeding, it would also be great if they added variants with eye bandages, on the neck or on the arms (in the case of rolled-up jackets it would be great). In short, details that would substantially increase the details and realism of the game and would also give us old players of the Germany faction more secondary tasks to complete. If you accept the suggestion, thank you in advance
I strongly support your proposal,The clothing system of this game does need to be supplemented and remade. Taking the Battle of Berlin as an example: through historical photos, we can see that the German army is heavily equipped with M42 coats.
but the clothing page of the Berlin Battle in the game does not have any options for the M42 coat. Interestingly, the M42 coats of other winter battles have the Volkssturm badge,
which is very inappropriate. The M42 coat should be included in the Battle of Berlin, and as far as I know, that Volkssturm armband is an independent component. In editing mode, you can add it to soldiers from any country. It should be treated as an independent added component.
Many people say, ‘Those are winter coats, not suitable for the Battle of Berlin.’ However, in historical footage, German soldiers in the Battle of Berlin were seen wearing large numbers of coats. And according to the local climate in Germany, it is reasonable to wear a winter coat during the campaign.
I didn’t know that so I looked it up on the internet, and yes. This kind of detail should definitely be added to the game, so it can gain a lot of popularity as one of the most historically accurate games. As for the Volkssturm armband, it should definitely be unique to the Berlin campaign
you can’t add M43 into Moscow map,the battle of Moscow is in 1941
but as a fan of German ww2 uniform Isupport your idea.
I really want this coat for all squad in winter maps,it looks really cool.
and I want this hat (M43) can be purchased in Normandy,Bulge and Berlin, they are largely used in the late ww2.
also I hope the appearance of ammo pouch can be suit with the gun that solider use automatically ,and solider with pistol can have a pistol holster in their appearance,so what we purchase is only the uniform.
(but I think they won’t do this because we will only purchase these clothes if our solider look ugly without them )
Volkssturm in the Moscow and Stalingrad? This is ridiculous. They should not have appeared in other battles, they should have been placed in the Battle of Berlin. Unfortunately, there were no available coat options during the Battle of Berlin, even though they often appeared in historical photographs.
I’m not going to lie to you, details of medium size upwards escape me, and I suppose the developers do too, but the community can make them see those details and they could even put it as a curiosity in the game
