New Premium tanks for Tunisia (Valentine + StuG III)

TLDR: Please introduce the Valentine and Stug III as premiums for the Tunisia Campaign.

I have a suggestion for a pair of premium tanks for the Tunisia campaign (one for the allies, one for the axis).

The pair of tanks I suggest should be added as premiums for Tunisia are:
-Allies: Valentine IX
-Axis: StuG III F

Both tanks were operated in service during the time of the Tunisia campaign, and were used in the Tunisia Campaign itself. Both tanks are upgunned versions of previous infantry support tanks, created in response to increasingly heavy armor being encountered by both sides.
I think they would be balanced as a pair, as neither have machine guns, both are primarily anti-tank and have great cannons, and both have good armor protection. The StuG III F has better mobility and more crew, whilst the Valentine IX has a turret to compensate for this. Currently all the premium tanks for Tunisia are primarily anti-infantry and have poor anti-tank weaponry, so it would be good to offer a ‘tank killer’ premium for each side (Similarly to the StuG and Firefly in Normandy). Both the Valentine IX and the Stug III F already exist in War Thunder, so should hopefully be easy to port over to Enlisted, and would not require new models/tanks/assets to be made (as all the assets for the tanks already exist).

I do not think either tank would be particularly unbalanced/unfair/pay to win, as the cannons that both tanks use already exist in the campaign, and in better tanks: the Valentine IX has the same gun as the Crusader, with less crew and much worse speed/mobility. The StuG III F has the same gun as the Pz IV F2, but in a turretless/casemate chassis. They are both fun/cool and iconic tanks (both produced in the thousands) that I believe would be popular and sell well, without breaking the balance of the campaign (i.e not pay to win).

Alternatively, instead of those two tanks, this pair could be introduced as premiums:
-Allies: Valentine I
-Axis: StuG III A

Basically the exact same things as stated above for the Valentine IX and StuG III F, just with worse guns. Both were in service during the time of the Tunisia campaign (please see note below). Both are also a fair matchup (they have the same BR in War Thunder). Both tanks have guns that are already available in the campaign (no worry about balancing). Both tanks are extremely iconic, and would sell well without being pay to win or balance breaking. Both tanks already exist in War Thunder, so no new assets/vehicles need to be made. The Valentine I already exists in Enlisted in the Moscow campaign, so half the work is already done. I would obviously prefer the Valentine IX and StuG III F, but if it was too much work to port two tanks from War Thunder ‘from scratch’, then the Valentine I and Stug III A would be an okay compromise.

NOTE: Technically the Stug III D was used in North Africa, not the StuG III A. However, the D model does not exist in War Thunder, and is functionally the exact same as the A model in all ways relevant to gameplay. I’m a real stickler for historical accuracy/minor model variants, and even I think having the A model in place of the D model would be of no real issue. The Stug III A can just be labelled the Stug III to avoid the technicality of it all if needed (similar to how the Valentine I is simply labelled the Valentine in Enlisted). Either way, it’s about as historical as the M24 Chaffee and M4A3E2 Jumbo in D-Day/Normandy, so I’m sure that overlooking this minor technicality is fine.

Why Premium StuG? The StuG was one of the main tanks of the Germans, yet it is only avaliable in France as Premium which is ridiculous.

Ya, more kit is always better imo,

I Suggested the other Day the Tiger and M 10 and or a Churchill for a “Next” level addition, all of which were there.

Honestly I made this suggestion mainly for the Valentine IX, since it was so heavily used in Tunisia. I figured suggesting it as a premium was more likely to see it implemented, as it’s kinda redundant to add to the F2P tree since the free Crusader has the same gun + more ammo + better speed/mobility. Even though I love the StuG I mostly added it to this suggestion so there’d be an axis counterpart to the Valentine.

I figured premium mainly for the StuG in Tunisia since it wasn’t deployed in large numbers there (afaik only about 9 Stug III F’s reached units there). I thought premium would be more of an incentive for the dev’s to actually get round to adding these tanks. I’m also new to the forums and was worried about pissing anyone off by suggesting the addition of more levels and extending the grind, as I’m not sure how the community feels about that. But yea I love the StuG and do agree that it should be available F2P as well, but moreso in the European campaigns where they were actually used in massive numbers, especially Normandy and Moscow. I do agree it’s ridiculous it’s not available free in those campaigns. For Tunisia tho, I think it makes a good premium considering it was used in such tiny numbers there.

A lot of the Theaters have tanks in them that were never really in those theater’s, Normandy for Example has US 76 mm Tanks that were not in action till Augast, and technically not in Normandy.

Tunisia has the Italian Semovente da 75/34 that was never in Africa…

Personally, I would prefer them to limit there Kit to what was actually in Theater for all weapons as it enhances immersion

I agree, I do prefer historical accuracy. I specifically try to use only equipment that was actually used in each campaign (why I want the Valentine), even if it means not being as meta.

I thought the StuG would be okay as a counterpart to the Valentine in Tunisia, as it was the closest fair match to the Valentine I could find already existing in War Thunder, and it did at least actually see action in Tunisia (unlike the preposterous Jumbo in D-Day). I’m open to any suggestions for a different axis counterpart to the Valentine tho! My other idea was the Pz III J1 with the long 50mm, it’s better than the Valentine, but it wouldn’t be too imbalanced/unfair of a matchup.

Free the StuG of premium thoughts! Needs to be played and unlocked as F2P.

There are some vehicles from other campaigners that would work, at least in the since that they were also operational in Tunisia at least in some Numbers that would be fun to use.

A P II as a cheep premium vehicle would be something I would enjoy using from time time in leu of the AB 41
