TLDR: Please introduce the Valentine and Stug III as premiums for the Tunisia Campaign.
I have a suggestion for a pair of premium tanks for the Tunisia campaign (one for the allies, one for the axis).
The pair of tanks I suggest should be added as premiums for Tunisia are:
-Allies: Valentine IX
-Axis: StuG III F
Valentine IX
Valentine IX in War Thunder
StuG III F in North Africa
StuG III F in War Thunder
Both tanks were operated in service during the time of the Tunisia campaign, and were used in the Tunisia Campaign itself. Both tanks are upgunned versions of previous infantry support tanks, created in response to increasingly heavy armor being encountered by both sides.
I think they would be balanced as a pair, as neither have machine guns, both are primarily anti-tank and have great cannons, and both have good armor protection. The StuG III F has better mobility and more crew, whilst the Valentine IX has a turret to compensate for this. Currently all the premium tanks for Tunisia are primarily anti-infantry and have poor anti-tank weaponry, so it would be good to offer a âtank killerâ premium for each side (Similarly to the StuG and Firefly in Normandy). Both the Valentine IX and the Stug III F already exist in War Thunder, so should hopefully be easy to port over to Enlisted, and would not require new models/tanks/assets to be made (as all the assets for the tanks already exist).
I do not think either tank would be particularly unbalanced/unfair/pay to win, as the cannons that both tanks use already exist in the campaign, and in better tanks: the Valentine IX has the same gun as the Crusader, with less crew and much worse speed/mobility. The StuG III F has the same gun as the Pz IV F2, but in a turretless/casemate chassis. They are both fun/cool and iconic tanks (both produced in the thousands) that I believe would be popular and sell well, without breaking the balance of the campaign (i.e not pay to win).
Alternatively, instead of those two tanks, this pair could be introduced as premiums:
-Allies: Valentine I
-Axis: StuG III A
Valentine, North Africa, 1942
Valentine in Enlisted
Stug III (short barrel 75mm), North Africa, 1942
Stug III A in War Thunder
Basically the exact same things as stated above for the Valentine IX and StuG III F, just with worse guns. Both were in service during the time of the Tunisia campaign (please see note below). Both are also a fair matchup (they have the same BR in War Thunder). Both tanks have guns that are already available in the campaign (no worry about balancing). Both tanks are extremely iconic, and would sell well without being pay to win or balance breaking. Both tanks already exist in War Thunder, so no new assets/vehicles need to be made. The Valentine I already exists in Enlisted in the Moscow campaign, so half the work is already done. I would obviously prefer the Valentine IX and StuG III F, but if it was too much work to port two tanks from War Thunder âfrom scratchâ, then the Valentine I and Stug III A would be an okay compromise.
NOTE: Technically the Stug III D was used in North Africa, not the StuG III A. However, the D model does not exist in War Thunder, and is functionally the exact same as the A model in all ways relevant to gameplay. Iâm a real stickler for historical accuracy/minor model variants, and even I think having the A model in place of the D model would be of no real issue. The Stug III A can just be labelled the Stug III to avoid the technicality of it all if needed (similar to how the Valentine I is simply labelled the Valentine in Enlisted). Either way, itâs about as historical as the M24 Chaffee and M4A3E2 Jumbo in D-Day/Normandy, so Iâm sure that overlooking this minor technicality is fine.
