So I’ve decided to try out Enlisted and I’m currently having fun, but I’ve few questions.
Progression when compared to War Thunder. how necessary is premium to improve the grind, and is it bearable to be a f2p player?
I’ve started playing as Germans, and was wondering what research priority should be.
Currently, What I’m doing is staying at 1-3 BR range(whatever that means) and trying to level up my soldiers, is that good idea, or should I move to 1-5 BR range asap?
Silver income is really low. But there are no repair costs, so you do not paying for playing itself.
I would focus to create some proper BR2 line up. So iconic mp40.
Then definitely APC squad is very good. And if you’re interested in tanks, Pz III N is very enjoyable.
In the matter of rifles, K98k is most comfortable to use out of all german bolt actions.
Definitely not, you want to stay at BR2 max.
Why?
The are currently 2 MM queues. First (BR1-3) and second (BR3-5).
There’s no economical advantage in playing higher BR queue currently. You would just end up facing superior equipment.
Btw. Engineers are the most important class type. Your focus #1 should be to get at least one to every infantry squad.
Why? They can build spawns (rally points) which are keys to basically every victory.
better than WT, but still tedious. also depends on what you want to unlock and how many nations you want to play. as f2p i would expect that you would need 6-12 months to fully unlock one nation with 1-2 hours playing daily. for germans to grind mandatory equipment (full tech tree without foldered tech) you need ~10 million xp, so check how much xp you are earning per match and see how many matches you need to unlock everything. average match lasts ~20 minutes.
i would focus on good BR2 lineup so mp40, armaguerra (first semi auto) and pz3n. most BA rifles have similar performance, so i recommend choosing the one with best sights for you.
i would stay on BR2 and maybe BR3 if you want to see how meta spam on high tiers looks like sometimes.
yeah this is priority. easiest way to earn xp is to have engineer and build rally points. they earn extra xp and give your team greater chance of victory (extra 50% xp). there is big difference in spawning on default spawn 100-150m away from cap point vs spawning 40m away from cap point.
Well, I’m thankful that I created this thread because I had no idea about engineers, lol. I’ve couple squads with them from the last time that I tried this game for few games, so it seems I’m good on that front.
here are few extra advices.
dont spend your silver easily. you dont need to switch to new weapons just cause you have unlocked them. it will lead to severe silver deficiency if you do so. usually fully upgraded old weapon is better than newly researched stock weapon (but that is not always the case).
if you are f2p player playing germans i would suggest focusing on tanks for vehicles (with premium you can have focus on both tanks and planes).
when you get new squad, juggle old leveled soldiers into it. dont buy new soldier class just cause you unlocked them. interim classes (e.g. rifleman II) are usually useless and you dont want to spend money on them. you either get default class or highest class (e.g. rifleman I or rifleman III).
keep an eye for max stat soldiers (you can check their stats in this table here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13SXNYOfbfhFHYQ-DTNpLzTDtYdPaz0f-M4W3HyxKcxg/edit#gid=982720857) and save them for your best squads. soldiers with shit stats you can use as filler for unused squads.
What’s the minimum max stat that I should look for? Like is 7-8-8 max level(star 3) engineer good when compared to max (9-10-8?) or even then he counts as ‘bad’ soldier?
Also, I assume the best starting squads are with the most members available at the start? With exception of those who already have engineer slot in them or assaulters?
it depends on what you want to do. in old enlisted it wouldnt make much difference if stats were few points different if you had enough stat points for your build cause you were limited by 5 perks. in new enlisted you are no longer limited by 5 perks, so i would say that max stat soldier is only good one cause it gives you extra advantage with extra perks.
but for starters i wouldnt give it much notice cause you will be economically challenged and getting max stat soldiers is money sink. you will be getting extra soldiers with new squads so i would recommend checking their stats to see what is worth keeping.
You want to have at least 16 red and green perk points at 5 star soldier. You do math via data sheets robihr shared.
Why?
Because the most important perks are right there and cost 16 points.
Sprint speed (not run speed), +35% to vitality, and for tankers, ammo swap during reload.
Most players already pointed out general tips like stay in BR2 so I will focus on min maxing weaponry for BR2.
The most used weapon at the start of the game are the rifle, so focus on that first.
Try both K98K and Mannlicher 1895 (finest bolt-action rifle) and equip your soldier with which you find better, its also worth upgrading them with 2 stars which gives you higher fire rate.
Next SMG for assaulter and medic, go for MP40.
Use assaulters squads often as they are OP in BR2.
MG, Germany has the superb MG13 which is probably the quickest upgrade you can get at the moment.
Carcano 38 for sniper
Don’t bother with tanks until you buy premium/squad slots, you are better of with unlocking IAR81 which is good both at dogfight and ground attack.
