New Perks: Faster overheat cooldown (All troops), and faster loading and repairs (added to engineers)

Both tank MGs as well as mounted guns make use of overheat as a mechanic. How about a perk that all troops can have that helps with overheat cooldown? Make it a high cost so people really need to consider it against other things.

For engineers, I’d like to suggest a perk that costs like 16 points of combat perk points (so only 5 star engineers could get it), that serves a dual purpose. The first of which would be to faster repair mounted MGs, as well as refill the ammo of AA and AT field guns, and increase the reload speed of AA and AT field guns while on them. Allowing for more efficient use of mounted fortifications.

New perk always welcome sure. May i suggest : 1 special perk for each class? Example : Rifleman unlock something like capture control point ?% faster, Sniper would have ?% reduce weapon sway, machine gunner ?% less recoil, engineer can repair tank and restock some ammo without tool package, etc

For a lot of classes, the generalized perks work just fine: less horizontal or vertical recoil, faster firearm reload speed, faster bolt action speed, faster run/sprint speed, longer hold breath time.
The reason I don’t think each individual one needs their own perks necessarily is because only certain ones hold certain niches of gameplay.

Riflemen and assaulters make up the majority of capturing forces anyways, giving them a buff to that would only result in more problems.

Snipers can reduce their sway by holding their breath or bracing their rifles. A perk already exists for increased breath hold, in addition to some snipers having additional of that perk innately. I don’t think additional perks for that are needed or necessary. I would however, like to see them given a perk that increases the length of time that their marks last for. Giving them more capabilities as an intel gatherer rather than just more lone combat proficiency. As they are best used in a teammate supporting role.

This one is argued about a lot as is. Console players (myself included) already get a bit of a recoil counter due to having less control than PC players. I for one don’t think giving a weapon as devastating as a MG more ease of control is a good idea, without there being some kind of tradeoff. Please remember that MGs hit usually around as hard as semi-auto rifles per bullet. Combined with a larger magazine capacity, they are very strong. Making players need to brace with them is really needed for balanced gameplay.
That said, perhaps a perk that allows for a little more leniency of angles when braced I could get behind.

I will say with 100% certainty that this would break the game balance entirely, and not be good. Take a look at the Battlefield games. If you haven’t played them, let me explain: basically, tanks become unkillable if there is someone sitting there repairing them.
Engineers have their niche as is. Fortificiations. Pushing them into other roles such as babysitting a tank for repairs is not making use of their niche abilities. However, with Anti-Air becoming more and more important, as well as field gun support, and the engineer squad being the only ones that can build them, a perk buff to make them maintain them and use them more efficiently would go a long way to getting people to make use of their unique abilities.

In case it crosses your mind: the reason flamethrowers and mortars have perks to increase their ammo count is because they are unable to use backpacks or secondary weapons. It offers them a little more flexibility toward ammo, should they choose it.

Dude, i ain’t reading all of that…

… There’s really not that much.

I split it up according to the category, and a handful of sentences to each with the exception of engineers, which the topic is partially about, hence more explanation.
