New Meta: Q&A

Overall positive. I really like matchmaking and being placed in fair battles. I like the progression and hope to see more intermediate gear.

My main concerns are with not limiting squad types and battle. Stuff such as letting the British/Moroccans fight in the pacific is minor, but I would like to see some changes.

@Shiivex
Not joking…

It has potential but some glaring issues might make it pointless for me.

  • Moroccan boys shall not appear in the Pacific / Normandy (premium squads should receive uniform and weapon variations for other theaters like Free French for Normandy and Filipino volunteers for the Pacific)
  • Tiger 2s shall not appear in Stalingrad (Stalingrad and Berlin, being instantly recognizable modelled cities, should have stricter rules for matchmaking on such maps)
  • Just like there will be a “random faction” matchmaking option I would really appreciate a “I agree to wait until the matchmaking is authentic/historical, don’t put me into ahistorical matches since I will quit them anyway” button.

Agreed. It’s why I think f2p guys should also get more regular slots. As for premiums having their own dedicated ones… Well we pay for them, so all would be fine I think (those complaining would merely be tge eternal jealous freeloaders ones.)

Agreed. Great opportunity to add a new faction and make the premium squad even more interesting

Sure, I can live with it though because it’s a German tank and did fight the Soviets. I’m more concerned with having the Brits in the Pacific and Italians in Berlin.

They will implement something to that effect, but not in the next update.

“Its implementation is very difficult.” Yet, it’s an implementation on top of a system that you yourself designed? Saying something is difficult to implement into a system that you created reflects poorly on you as the developers and not the technology as a whole. Make no mistake, this update is not scratching peak technological advancement in any way. The difficulty is directly related to the system as a whole, which just to be perfectly clear: you are creating. It’s not difficult, it’s developer incompetence or a lack of being honest to your customers.

I think this idea would be a good solution for Moroccans in the Pacific as well as some of you complaining about not being able to use your Premiums. Everything is tied to a specific zone(s), and the new matchmaker keeps players together so when you land on Berlin you have your Berlin squads, North Africa for North Africa, etc

I want to know is only way to guarantee to play the new campaign, put my Pacific planes in line up? For Axis it was already confirmed if Japanese you will land on Pacific, but for US what line up do I need?

Same applies for Tunisia, do I have my troops with shorts in lineup to increase chance of Tunisia?

They didn’t specify, I want to 100% know

Tech trees and additions that allow new content to be added are good things in themselves.

But the BR level will not bring any changes to the diversity, you claim that no restrictions are added to protect those players who like to use their own squads. But you have weakened infantry grenades and various explosives, and still plan to weaken flamethrowers.

For players who like to use explosives and players who like to use flamethrowers, this set of rhetoric is basically self-contradictory. Because you’re still restricting the player, like removing the depression angle of the AA gun, and removing the wood penetration of the heavy machine gun, you force the player to no longer use these things by removing the combat ability of the weapon, which is even worse things.

And what do you guys do with the premium squads of moscow beretta 1918, these old advanced squads only had 4 soldiers and they didn’t have any sappers nor any uniqueness, a large number of premium squads lost their position in the 10 slots restriction. Is this kind of an answer for players who want to get those squads into battle?

Question, you claim that the current players will keep the squads they already have, which means that basically all players can do 3 tank or 3 plane cycles, a large number of players will monopolize the tank and plane positions, they just need to use it all the time on their owned 3 tiger tanks. Is this an answer for other players that want to try their premium tanks?

To solve this case, I doubt that you’re still restricting players in crappy ways in the end .

Basically, too many problems, you choose a path that is not easy, I am pessimistic about it. I’d much rather spend your time improving your custom games.

Can’t agree with this logic, man.

That’s like saying “Jagdtiger is a German tank and did fight the Western Allies, so let’s put it in the Dunkirk operation map”.

Lets keep Stalingrad, recreated almost 1:1, in a respectable condition

Instead of going full CoD Vanguard on it

That’s kind of why I find this update is 2/3. The universal faction tech tree is great, the new matchmaker keeping players together is great, even having all maps available in the pool so it really feels like a world war is great. The BR and plausibility of seeing odd units like the Moroccans in the Pacific and such are the controversial parts.

I think the BR is the only hot button issue of debate

When might we learn more about the new (BR) Army Rating?

I would love to know what weapons will be matched to what vehicles so I can start planning my teams at each rating.

For example, I love my Churchill, will using M2’s cause me to be in a rating where I am always fighting Tigers and Panthers?

Ok this seems to be coming up at lot.
People only have 10 slots, take 10 premiums into a battle, atm?
So why they need dedicated slots for premiums?,
When they will just be able to do what Keofox suggested
Only asking, not having go at anyone.

Which, you would just need 5-6 presets?
Still get to take there 10 premiums etc?

The update is very good, but many expert teams are no longer popular with players. which is a problem.
Please strengthen the engineering team, mortar team, radio team and anti-tank team. They lack automatic weapons and are difficult to compete with fire fighters, assault fighters and riflemen. They should have seven soldiers, two riflemen or assault fighters just like a fire-breathing squad, so as to have their own unique gameplay while ensuring basic combat effectiveness. In fact, the Spitfire Squad is a good example. It has its own characteristics and sufficient fighting capacity.

The radio team?

Yep.

It would be great if the radio team 2 had new call-ins like strafing runs, ect ect.

(to be really toxic they could add white phosphorus artillery :smiling_imp:)

That’s right, but there are only five soldiers and a team with only one fully automatic weapon. It’s like a snack for commandos, and you basically have to stay in the rear and wait for the shelling. Ha ha ha, this game is really dull.

Since you can abuse everything, basically everything finally able to become toxic.

But some players might think that arming each squad with 9x AK47 would make the game more interesting. I doubt it

And, they’ll still try to keep you from abusing the stuff, they’ll nerfing the stuff until they lose all fighting power, like everything they’ve done before for example.

Inorder to.

And a large number of failed trying, for the example even in this thread

And incoming
