New Maps - Invasion of Normany

Hi Gaijin team,

Love the game. Been playing non stop the last days.

Are you playing to expand each campaign. I would love some more content in the Invasion of Normandy.

New Maps:

  • Cotentin peninsula, Caen Bridge & Orme River (Airborne Operation)
  • Port of Cherbourg
  • Battle of Caen
  • Falaise counter attack (Tank Battle)

More Weapons / Vehicles:

  • Panzer’s V and VI
  • Pershing Tank
  • 88mm canons
  • More planes :slight_smile:

the pershing wasn’t in europe until around December of 1944 i want to say

No. No Pershings period. And no Tiger VI. There were only 20 Pershings in all of Europe between December 22nd 1944 and the Battle of the Bulge. There were 126 Tigers in France roughly during D-Day so Tiger 1 is not unreasonable as a top tier vehicle but Tiger II? I mean there were a couple at D-Day but nowhere near enough to justify it as a vehicle. I understand it as a balance with Pershing but Pershings just weren’t used.

Please no. The Panzer V and VI would stomp all tanks for the americans besides the Jumbo (which should be removed) and would make it unfun for new players to ever play tanks. And the pershing didnt even make it to Europe until 1945.

As for the other suggestions, I doubt we’ll see Cherbourg since that was a hundred kilometers or so away from the beach landings and all the maps need to exist on the current map. But we very well could see Caen

The BA-11 didn’t enter service at all iirc and the jumbo is just like the Pershing in this case.

I am not defending his idea but saying it’s possible cus gaijaned…

What about the M18 and the M10. They look pretty cool!

The first shipment of twenty Pershings arrived in Antwerp in January 1945. I haven’t been able to find any mention of there being any in Europe before that date.

i think darkflow at least has some ideas that the pershing wasn’t in france by then but yeah i won’t want the ba-11 or jumbo in the game if they weren’t in service for that battle, hence why i want jumbo to be replaced with 105 sherman

I like the maps, but not the vehicles. I don’t want more power creep
