There is currently a bit of disparity between Japan and the other factions in terms of special event sidearms. During this time period, Officers in Japan were required to purchase their own sidearms. Most Officers patriotically purchased domestic Japanese sidearms. However, some bought more exotic pistols. The Colt 1908 Hammerless being one of the most popular.
Some even purchased P08 Lugers, which were considered desirable due to the quality reputation of German firearms at the time. Many of these were also captured from the Dutch when the Japanese invaded Dutch Indonesia, of which there were two batches of Lugers. One from DWM and one manufactured by Vickers, both with grip safeties and brass unit plaques.
But I personally would like to see the references to the movie “Letters from Iwo Jima” rounded out with Tadamichi Kuribayashi’s Ivory Grip M1911.

As long as it’s plausible, why not? The more pistols, the better.
Also, as someone pointed out in the current event thread, Japan lacks a high capacity (10+ rds) pistol.
None of their pistols go above 8/9 rounds in game, And they have so many good picks that are 10+. Instead of adding more weapons as events, weapons that aren’t extreme game changers should be added as permanent weapons. Such as the type 26 and Colt Pocket Hammerless1903 being permanently available for purchase, and more rare weapons such as the Ivory grip 1911 remaining a event weapon. Hino–Komuro pistol would make for another interesting event/Gold weapon, It’s got a long barrel and 15 round magazine capacity. One of the thinnest pistol barrels of world war II.

They are also missing select fire pistols in that category, and the soviets are missing theirs too.
I know there is full auto pistols that existed for both of these nations, so that is something to expect aswell.
Well I would like to see automatic Pistol for Japan and if I’m not mistaken some Astra 902s were exported to China which would make for a great machine Pistol event for Japan sry if I can’t send a picture I’m on phone

well that’s a gorgeous pistol and it has inside of a Mosque engraved on the magazine anyhow
Like I said Japan could get Astra 902 with stock (Stock can be removed)
and soviets can get Tokarev pistol 1929 (can get stock)
Both are machine pistols and Both have insane fire rate Astra is around 900 and Tokarev around 1000
Tokarev has 22 round and Astra 20 round

That would be a good one indeed.
But the Tokarev you show is a carbine variant more suited as an SMG, the actual pistol variant would fit better, it can also attach a stock:
