New italian tank: P40

A new possible tank that could be added in the italian faction is the P40, it can fight well against most of the allied veichles

There will be no Italian nation for the moment, they will be added to Germany.

Enlisted could use a popcorn maker, love to hear those rivets pop,

The armour, quite resistant by Italian standards, was sloped and 60 mm thick at the turret front and mantlet (by comparison the M13/40 had 42 mm), but it was still riveted at a time when most tanks were constructed by welding.[3] Compared to welded armour, riveted armour is vulnerable to breaking apart at the joints meaning that even quite resistant plates can be defeated by rivet failures.
The armour was capable of protecting the tank against early anti-tank (and tank) guns such as the British 40 mm (1.6 in) QF 2-pounder, but was vulnerable to subsequent anti-tank weapons such as the 57 mm, (2.24 in) QF 6-pounder that entered service in 1942, and was completely overmatched by the 76 mm (3 in) QF 17-pounder coming into use in 1943.

I mean it was used pretty much only by Germany after they occupied Italy so it would probably just be for Germany even if Italy got its own tree

P40 historically was only used by Germany so it can stay in German tree

I am just saying a Sherman could pin this thing six ways from Sunday, we could use more targets.

As long as Italy stays confined within German ranks, that is a non-issue.

Should Italy ever be split and become a standalone tree, it would make sense for the P40 to be there because A) it’s just the peak Italian WWII proper tank, and B) in the German tree it would be redundant and mostly useless, because even by mid-war standards it’s still mediocre, and pretty much any German tank from late model Pz.III and Pz.IV F2 upwards would overshadow it by far.

Do we know if the snazzy italian outfits are staying? Also ciao from one WT player to another!
