Great changes. The game is looking more beautiful with each passing day. But it would be even better if you guys can focus upon the movement in general. I remember a trailer from closed beta or something where the soldiers were sprinting much more realistically. Plus the items present on their body were also shaking as they moved. These little details enhance the aesthetic appeal of the game to a significant extent. This is a change which I would like to see as we approach the Steam release.
Also I don’t even think that yellow default factory painting was applied until after Stalingrad.
Default painting before 1943 / 1944 was always “Panzergrau” as in “tank grey”
Which makes even less sense on a Jagdpanther - which was basically always hidden and behind the frontline - in its role comparable to M10 and Hellcats - not part of the real frontlines, but rather a “quick reaction force”. Jagdpanthers were taken care of, and losing them was not an option.
Seing them without any camo is somewhat unrealistic.
because the dunkelgelb ( tan camo ) was only applied to vehicles made after 1943. since it was standarlized in 1943.
considering the dicker max was made in 1941 / 1942, it’s basic color camouflage should be the dark gray of the tiger ( which unironically, no tigers E were ever painted in dark gray. because the E was produced in 1943, if any tigers should be dark grey, those should be the H1 ) or default gray if not white / shaded gray.
I’m guessing they’ve already been called out on this. That’s also why they removed it from the shop and then announced they’d bring it back but with a much better look.
Yes! The current offer is so limited. And the decals we’re getting from events are mostly… Not something that I would imagine.
And the rest is for the planes, where tbh… Customization isn’t very visible.
I know it’s based on chassis of Panther. But tbh, it was used in completely different way.
Thus way I wouldn’t call it “still panther”. And would expect different approach to camouflage.
Afaik all tank crews were issued at least some paint.
So a full basic dunkelgelb vehicle (including Tiger 2 P) would be a unicorn. Even in super late war shortages they were no longer dunkelgelb but primer red out of the factory with xamo applied by crews on top.
I like that the holes from my 88mm cannon will be more visible
Would you add an option to get tank camouflage for a certain number of kills with this tank like in WarThunder?
Are you planning this option or will they be only for gold forever?
that’s a british " invention " that was made in hanover germany towards the end of the war. as this particular factory was captured by the allies ( US ), and then british engineers decided to complete the 8th panthers and 4 jagdpanthers left in that factory. which couldn’t have been possibly adopted by the germans. ( matter of fact, it wasn’t )
you can partially learn more about it
which, from what they recall, germany in the latter stage of the war, were missing many things. paiting too.
this one istead, was a chart made of ideally how some jagdpanthers were supposed to be colorized.
but, if you do look around at the various pictures in black and white available, you find only a handful of few had some of these colocations.
majority of these weren’t even available or even have been ever made.
p.s. as you can notice, the dunkelgelb still was, part of the base colorations. so to reiterate, it does make sense.
not to mention, the camouflage was ( i think, nothing is concrete especially since towards the end everything has been recalled pourly ) an inspiration to the other one existing: ( which i miss the name )
Are there any plans to release paid squads for American tanks using 90mm guns, such as Jumbo Pershing, Jackson, and Super Hellcat, in addition to the regular Pershing and Super Pershing tanks in War Thunder?
