New gun: The MG-45 (MG-42V)

LOOK HERE, LOOK LISTEN!

We need the MG-45.

What is it? A short barreled MG-42 with a RPM of 1800!
Its slightly lighter and cheaper than the 42 but only 10 were made.

Twin Gatling (dreamed of in 1945, so it is legit).

That does smell like a gold order to me!

I rather have a mg81 with a stock and a bipod.

Unique MG no other ww2 game have as far as I remember.

Some say it was the best MG from ww2. Sadly everyone talks only about mg34 and mg42s

A double barrel version (mg81s) with a stock and bipod would be a dream to use in berlin

Yes!!!

Because adding it would be the perfect excuse to add the old Maxim mg for the Russians!

Unfortunately

I vote yes with both hands and both legs.
But firstly change rof of MG42 to 1200.

This one also looks nice. :eyes:
Edit:
Although it seems to be best fitted as MG nest / AA MG. Would make a nice counterpart to AA quad Maxim russians had.
Also, does it have barrel change? It seems it doesn’t, that could be a huge limitation.

1200 pff 3700 minium with a belt of 7000 rounds

I can cope with 250.
Sadly devs will probably implement it in the most generic way possible.

1800 rounds per minute? holy mother of ppsh…

Theoretical. Practical would be probably 1500 judging by how well germans estimated rof of MG42 (1500 vs 1200).

As far as I remember on my readings, mg81z was capable of firing 3200 rounds per min.

We were talking about MG45.

Anyway, do you know if MG81 had quick barrel change feature? I’m googling it now but maybe you know.

It did not.

Was possible to dismantle with tools but wasn’t a quick change mechanism.

The weapon was intended to be used in planes. They had enough cooling from the air that didn’t require a quick barrel change.

Latter as the war progresses, models with bipods, stocks, tripod mouts and or with aa sights were issued to inf troops.

Mg81, it’s a beast of a MG.
After the 34 (because i actually shot with one irl) it’s one of my fav guns from ww2.
Not as known as a mg42/34, but imo, just imo, an amazing one.
