New gray zone and strategic point mechanics in invasion mode

Strategic points in Invasion mode.

  1. Strategic points in Invasion mode should have a activation time similar to that in Conquest mode.
    *(defenders should have time to prepare fortifications)
  2. The captured gray zone should close faster, and the attacking side’s respawn points should appear in a new place only after the captured one is closed

    *(Defenders who fail to escape from the closing gray zone after losing a strategic point should be considered captured and disappear).
  3. Both attackers and defenders should be able to see where the next point will open.
  4. Strategic points in invasion mode should be generated randomly and at random distances from 50m to 1km.

Yes! Oh my, I would love to see that! It would be very realistic and understandable to how the real war unfolded. One game, you need to take the bridge, and then in the next game on the same map, you need to take the windmill etc.

How would the main spawns work? I understand having random strategic points is fairly interesting and appealing to add some more diversity in each game played, but each of those would also require setting up a new spawn front.

Without that you could end up with defenders spawning in locations that are supposed to serve as flanking routes and resulting in much more spawn killing/grey zone camping than we already have on certain maps.

Secondly, idea of having time to fortify does not really work in this fast-paced game. We are playing game where players sit in the middle of an objective and do not understand the idea of frontline perimeters, often getting overrun by a single SMG running into the building and wiping them out. Neither have I seen enough people building actual fortifications, supply or emplacements to warrant giving defenders such time. Only thing this would achieve is more AP mine spam and I believe most players are better without having to deal with a skilless thing like that.
