New Game Update: Game Mode, Map, and Spawn Point

I am growing tired of the game mode, map and spawn point lottery.

Currently, players have no control over this selection as the developers have not provided these functions.

I spend a lot of time waiting as the game searches for a match, only to back out and re-join the queue because I have been presented with a game mode I don’t want to play (conquest), map I don’t want to play (most Tunisian maps), and spawn point (I don’t know what the point of spawning in a hole in the ground that you have to climb out is).

Does anyone know if the upcoming game update will provide players with options to select map, game mode, and spawn point?

Its intended because of small playerbase.

That’s one word for it.

I understand that you are trying to make the game work with a small player base, but I feel that you are giving newcomers a terrible experience with unbalanced matching and unenjoyable maps, and as a result, you are letting even more players go. I feel that adding a PVE mode would be a better way to increase the number of players. The competitive mode would probably lose even more people though.

Well, let’s see what happens with the new matchmaking.

I was newcomer ±8 months back, I don’t remember having “terrible experience” back then. I wanted to try this game for long, but I naively waited for steam release. That’s why I join up so late. :man_shrugging:

I think this game has just 0 promo + it’s not even on pc stores like steams etc. :man_shrugging:

What kind of experience it will be will probably depend on the first campaign you experience.
I wanted to play in the US Army at the time and it was hard at the time anyway.
The situation was like this.

I experienced Stalingrad as my first campaign, for first few days I thought all campaigns are somewhat behind full access pack because I didn’t try other campaigns. I had something like 40% as German and I still enjoyed it because I just didn’t care lmao.

I honestly don’t get this. You can’t only want the most favorable match possible all the time. This type of stuff is why some campaigns are ghost towns, and why deserting is so rampant, if you don’t get the 1 map and 1 mode and 1 spawn point you like youre leaving the match and ruining everyone elses game. Luckily the new update is putting everyone in the same matchmaking pool and getting rid of campaigns so you’ll need to learn to start playing different maps and modes if you want to keep playing.

Yeah. In the beginning of my journey the grind was only second nature (still is).
I just played. And enjoyed is so much I kept playing.

Thinking to much about the grind or maps/modes you don’t like in your early days will not only decrease your ability/willingness to improve your game but also make the experience less nicer.

Yeah I’ve cut my teeth in literally every campaign at this point. The game has balance issues don’t get me wrong, but some of that is intended for “asymmetrical gameplay”. Some campaigns feel better/less toxic or whatever but even in the most toxic sweatlord Berlin and Normandy lobbies I don’t quit just because it’s a certain map or mode, that’s no way to play the game. The only game mode that objectively is bad is the Armored Train. Ive found enjoyment in literally every mode that people seem to shit on otherwise, bomb defense multiple objective capture etc. The game is meant to be played not cherry picked. You don’t win every battle in war.

Severe tunnel vision…

Damn man can’t get me off your mind? I became your most replied to user real quick huh

wait are you Japanese? I never bothered to look at your description. cool though.

It is not so much about the most favourable match, I do not gain any advantage by choosing the map and game mode I like to play.

It is more about finding an enjoyable one. I can’t speak for you, but I play games for entrainment and enjoyment. Not having the most basic of functions that you would expect to see in any game like this is on the developers, not me.

You seem to want players to just join any match the lottery presents you with, for the sake of making up the numbers. It is not my job ensure matches are populated with enough players, that is responsibility of the developer.

If I were able to select a game mode and map that I want to play, there would be no need to desert and return to the queue (and according to you- ruin the game). Have a think about that.
