New Game Mode: Total Domination

Game Time: 20 minutes
Troop Count: 2000 units per team
Objective: The battlefield must be captured in grids, each grid captures at a rate of 10% per second, the grid can then be locked by capturing a 2nd time this capture has a rate of 1% per second each building inside the locked grids will function as spawn points
How To Win Method 1: Have the highest percentage of the map captured when the time runs out
How To Win Method 2: Capture & Lock 90% of the entire map before the time runs out (could award 2500 extra exp to the entire team if they win this way)
How To Lose: Run out of Reinforcements

IDK about being unable to recapture stuff… Sounds like once a team starts winning they cant be stopped.

my thoughts on it is, it would prevent the winning team from capturing the map completely if they end up capturing too far in, it would allow each team to create their own permanent base camp in a sense.

What about a permanent starting zone and then the grid map between them. Each grid can be caped and recaped many times but it takes longer to decap and recap them then it takes to originally capture, say 4-5 seconds decap then another 4-5 to cap.

i originally was thinking about it like that but realized it would just be really frustrating to have to keep running all over the place capturing and re-capturing areas, i then came to the conclusion that there would need to be a system to lock the captured area’s and i thought :thinking: well what if you hold the captured area for several minutes to lock it, then your team would proceed to the next area, of course you would have the people trying to flank and grab all the unlocked areas but once all the grids are locked and the perimeter is established it turns into a straight up death match till the reinforcements run out, kind of like a real war of that day lol

maybe there could be a way to retake the locked areas but it should require the enemy team to like hold the grid for like 3-4 minutes without being contended. then it should turn back into a neutral zone and you have to hold it for 10 seconds to re-take it

Sounds like a really easy match at first, then stupidly hard with basically no way to win. 3-4 MINUTES of being UNCONTESTED probably wont happen in areas thatll help your team win due to at least one squad breaching the zone. Keep working on the uncap time. This could be a promising mode to play.

idk maybe like 1-2 min without breach, like it feels weird to be too much greater then the lock-cap time maybe the lock-cap time could also be 1-2 mins or whatever the devs feel would work better :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
or idk maybe the whole thing could just work like the obj style capture system where its a percentage based system instead timer based :thinking: the locking/unlocking of the grids could just take longer to get a full circle. :open_mouth:ok yea that actually is a whole lot better, there could then be 2 ways to win, either the reinforcement’s run out on 1 team or 1 team captures 95% of the map
