The ideea is simple: Battle lasts 30 minutes, 5 objectives, unlimited tickets for both sides, no “pushback bar” or whatever is called. Whoever has the most objectives captured at the end of the 30 minutes wins the battle.
well yes and no, it gives you time to develop strategies, flank, make rally points, set up fortifications and traps etc. Lets compare to conquest mode for the sake of the argument, if you had a bad battle and you almost lost and most of the time the enemy held the objectives, when you capture them you still need to wait and hold those objectives so the enemy tickets deplete which is even worse if you don’t any more troops. In this mode you can still win even tho the enemy held the objectives 90% of the time.
i remain skeptical towards this battle mode. it would need rather even teams(almost impossible) to make the game interesting, otherwise it will just be race to the edge of the grey zone and farm loads of kills and then game will turn into camp fest.
it would need some early finish conditions cause nobody wants to end in 30 minute match when one side is totally overwhelming the other.
With 5 bases, the map will be large, so perhaps it could be a game of running for 5 minutes, fighting for 1 minute, and then running again for 5 minutes.
I would like to see a map that allows for simple yet intense battles like the 2fort in Team fortress2. A map that is small but strategic.
What about, a game mode for people that has no life (me included) that lasts a hundred thousand hours with multiple objectives all map long that replaces and gives xp to the leavers for the time and actions they took for the time played and never ends Prety much like planetside 2?
